Actually there is no need for that, as far as I know. Or is it a house rule?

2 DV). The spirit will go uncontrolled (see Uncontrolled Spirits, above)
if the magician is rendered unconscious from Drain damage. If the
spirit’s Force exceeds the magician’s Magic, Drain damage is Physical
rather than Stun.
A magician may have a number of spirits bound equal to her
Charisma. Any attempt to bind a spirit beyond this maximum automatically
fails.
Glitches: Glitches on the Binding Test should be handled like
glitches on a Summoning Test, perhaps with slightly stronger consequences.
For example, a glitch may mean that the magician is mystically
bound to perform a service for the spirit (some spirits drive hard
bargains after all). On a critical glitch, the spirit will become uncontrolled
and may attack the magician.

Your point is valid. I lumped that in with "Lodge" as generally characters, for simplicity, use their lodge for all such activities. That said, the plane will not be in the air long enough for more than a force 1 or 2 spirit. If Viking wants to spend some time working with spirits, he can discuss his time requirements with Kesslan and/or Ashe. My guess is that it won't be hard to find enough time for summoning any force needed. Also, likely, you will be permitted to set up your lodge where we are headed as well.

Yeah time is the issue then, as i wanted to do a F5 or F6 summon.

In the picture of the target from the store are there other people visible? the shopkeeper? maybe some reflection of someone
as i don't have a clue what there is actually shown Viking might make a suggestion to find these people to see if they heard something, or seen something that might help.

A weird question - can you use mind probe on yourself?

Umm... There is nothing in the description of the spell which would state otherwise. That said, there are obviously deep and dark secrets that you keep, even from yourself at times, that are recessed within your mind for a reason. If you mind-probe yourself, (I am ruling) the results of a Glitch will be treated as a Critical Glitch. The results of a Critical Glitch will be doubled. This is due to the unique nature of the spell, and the results of success (and failure, in this case). Further, you are not allowed to simply "allow" the spell to succeed. You must roll a resistance check.

Roll a Perceive in Detail check against the photograph to see what you notice.

Is there a way to study the picture, making a extended test? or some modifiers i have forgotten?
Rolling perception with actively looking but not adding visual enchantments, as not sure they could be used in this situation, and worse of all Defaulting

I'm not aware of an extended test in Perception. Although, in "Real World" examples, they do exist. For instance: attempting to find Waldo in the "Where's Waldo" pictures, that would count as an extended test.
So, as a House Rule, I will consider an extended test under the following conditions: If your character knows that he is looking for specific detail, he may roll an extended test in order to find it. However, the lower the degree of specificity, the higher the threshhold will be. As in the above example, the picture of Waldo is on the cover of the book; the person trying to find him knows exactly what they are looking for. Yet it is still challenging.

You can go ahead and post the perception check below, as a part of a game post, in to the game thread.

Perception in SR4 and SR4A do allow for extended tests. There's even a few modifiers for it such as 'actively searching'. It's handled much like any other extended test but there's no set time increment. Instead the time it takes is really up to the GM.

This is a quick check-in. Don't worry, other than that you guys are posting too slowly, I don't have any problems with what we're doing.

As of these past few weeks, I have 3 active players. Kesslan, Kouryuu, and Larzarus. If there are any others of my previous players who are planning on being active, please post in now so that I know who is still considered a part of this group.
I am going to post up a Thread, which I will update from time to time, where I will specify who is active in the game, and what they're playing (with a link to their character - or at least to their sheet). I will also detail who we have as NPCs, so that each of you may utilize them as a portion of your out-of-mission RP in your posts. The NPCs are available for anything from playing pingpong to practicing hand-to-hand combat, and many other things. Use your imagination. Some of the NPCs have an impressive arsenal of tools available to them, making them excellent friends to have.

Due to personal restraints (running two restaurants is not easy), physical concerns (heart attacks sucks), and group cohesion ( did we really need him since Eleanor could do all the driving in the first place?), I retired Driver from the run, and lent Eleanor to Watashi for as long as she is needed. Well, now i'm out of the hospital, running things a little more smoothly, and taking over the universe one insane thought at a time. As it is, you don't need someone else skilled in the art of death and destruction, and as you may notice by my character threads, that is what most of my characters are, so i am trying something new, with a technomancer. It gives Gala a break from leaning on an npc too much, and gives you a very more mobile computer expert.

It will be a challenge for us all, but fear not, nor be afraid, We have plans for you, plans to prosper and give you all the tools you need to live, amen.

You know, it strikes me that the whole fake company setup we have, if we run it right serves as a perfect way to 'dispose' of inactive player characters. The needs of the 'legitimate' business just call for their full time efforts to keep it afloat and running smoothly. Given that they were hired as runners, their also the sort to know what to do to help keep the whole operation covered up.
