Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

An extremely reserved person, Labraid or "Trigger" (his nickname given by former military associates) Lives each day slackingly. Not one to care for anyone but those he serves with, he has little friends. Thats the way he likes it. Not much in the way of hobbies, he doesnt see a need. Labraid has a very pessimistic view about the future of the world, and focuses most of his "off time" with his associates discussing all the conspiracies floating around. During the war, he suffered through the loss of many of his comrades, whom he only saw through his scope. It really caused him to detach from reality, and to hate with an immeasurable fury those who killed his only real friends...

My Story
So, he really wants to know does he? ok. I'll tell him a story like he has never heard...
My story begins at my youth. What does that have to do with my ability to run? Even the mightiest rope is made up of small threads. My parents always raised me to look out for others, and do anything I could to help the weak and defenseless. That caused me to get in my first fight. Regina, a human friend of mine was being bullied, and recalling what I was always taught, I confronted the bully about it. It was over before I could believe it, There I was standing triumphant, over my felled foe with Regina cheering and thanking me for being her protecter. It was then I knew: I was going to help the good people by stopping the bad ones.
Time passed, I got through my adolescence well enough. It was time to go into the real world now, and I knew how I was going to do it. I signed up for the Marine Corps just a short time out of high school, empassioned to make a difference in this twisted world. It was there I learned some harsh lessons, and received world class combat training in rifles, sidearms and knives. My superiors noticed my seemingly natural talent at the art of killing and suggested I try my hand at the Scout/Sniper school. Aahh, reckless youth. I was over there and going through the entrance exam the same day. I passed it, surprising no one least of all me. Part of the training involved getting bionic implants to heighten my already existing abilities, and to introduce some things I didn't think possible in a natural lifeform. The days went on, learning more skills about long range shooting and blending in perfectly to my surroundings compounding quickly.
I graduated, a fresh new sniper in the fold. Finally I was going out on mission! My excitement would be short lived though, as the horrors of war are more than anyone can take... I was taking an overwatch position looking for enemy movements for my unit, while they were on the last leg of a patrol. It had been a long 9 months, and home was so close we could taste the ale already. Thats when it happened, like a swarm of bees they were upon them. I readied my weapon on the advancing OpFor's, and fired, and fired, and fired. But I knew from the start it was a losing engagement. We were hopelessly outnumbered, the assault was perfect, almost like they knew we would be there. But thats crazy talk, isn't it? Of course they couldn't know. Our intelligence and security is state of the art. I had no choice but to watch as my men were mercilously put down, one after another. I extricated, and vowed to myself to find out what happened that day.
Shortly after that fateful day, I was discharged from the Corps. Some crap about PTSD, but honestly I knew it was for the best. I couldn't trust them anymore. I started spending all my time looking for intel on military leaks, and the true intentions behind these wars they wage, and who pulls the strings. It lead me down a dark road, wherein nobody can be trusted. Then I found out about the U.M.G. You guys are just like me, former Soldiers and Marines who saw through the BS. I have quite a skillset, I know we can come to an agreement...
The general of U.M.G. told me that they supported their operations financially by doing "runs", which from what I gather are guns for hire that do a job that a client can't be bothered to attend to him or herself. Ok. I will go down this road, be someone's muscle, earn some pay, and get ultimate justice for the sins committed against my brethren...
