Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

SO. I'm considering running up a game of low-level characters; Restricted BP. Lets say, 250-300. something to make Lonestar into a serious threat for the 'runners', for lack of a better word.

What limitations should I put? Should I simply take the standards for 400, and chop off 25%? Or is there a better way to do it?

I've done low-character runs before, and had a blast, but only in SR3. SR4, not so much. Thoughts?

I'd suggest going with 300 like you say and running the group as gangers perhaps and restricting cyber to one Alphaware and the rest standard. Skills best is one 5 or two fours and the rest 3's. Magic limit 4, attribute maximums two less than racial max. No change to Positive/Negative Attribute maximums.

What that'll do is force a lot of low skills and prevent the 300 points from shallowing out the characters for specialization and force broad characterization, which makes interesting and real personalities.

This is all off the top of my head as a suggestion.
