Greetings Runners

I'm a thirty years old german with a faible for roleplaying. Unfortunately, my Shadowrun group has collapsed under the weight of real life. But finding this Site has risen my hopes to enjoy good roleplaying in the Shadowrun universe again.
Up to now I almost exclusively played 3rd edition and only participated in fery few oneshots of 4th edition. Hence I'm a beginner regarding the changed rules and evolved backstory, although I claim to be a rather experienced roleplayer.

In any case, I hope we all will have lots of fun playing together.

Currently I am working on converting a 3rd edition character into 4th edition and editing the background story a bit. Which is a little difficult as I don't own a 4th ed rulebook yet. But I'm planning of stea requiri borrowing one from a friend of mine within the next week.

Well, if you have any questions (I've been out of the game for a while and have forgotten much), speak up and one of us (wearsmanyskins) will find an answer.

Thanks for the napalmy warm welcome.

I will try on my own for now. What I have done so far looks promising. I hope to put my character sheet and background story in the character section within the next week. And then you'd be welcome to rip it apart add your suggestions for improvement.

Heh, just saying you were the one to get in touch with if one needs to find something in a book. You seem to remember what is where pretty well.

Just a little update, I now own a SR 4th core rulebook and I'm not afraid to use it. My character should be up in the character section within the next 49 hours or so.

Whoah, that's pretty specific. Can't wait to see how the Germans do it. (I also heard that the German Arsenal sourcebook for 4th edition has extra stuff that American editions didn't get, like powered skateboards, sword canes, and 3 armor clothing lines. Lucky.)

Didn't you know that germans are specific and thorough? Don't take such clichés as standard.

I haven't seen the 4th ed Arsenal sourcebook yet. But I know the 3rd edition had some nice additions, new gear as well as pictures for the gear that's in the US version.

Yeah finally another german out here :-). I feared I'll stay the only one although this is one of the first websites popping up if someone searches for possibilities to play Shadowrun using the web ;-).

Indeed, this was the second popping up. But the first one did not have the right feeling. Unlike this forum.
