I am allowing Arsenal, Augmentation, Street Magic and thats about it! No Runners Companion. Thats just too weird!

uh.....my character uses the "In debt" quality out of runner's, is that going to be an issue?

I made the adjustments to my character sheet on the forums as well btw. Were you serious about the knowledge skill argument BTW? I can see how power gamers could use that to their advantage but with the way my character is built I'm either very much NOT a power gamer or I'm going to the best there ever was.

oh, and I'm going to change my character's thematic language to French, since it's classy and when spoken right would throw off any woman harboring stereotypes about Trolls (except the one about Trolls having a third leg, that one's true).

Edit: I just realized that since I lowered my Tailored pheremone rating down to 2, that leaves 15K nuyen or 3 character points available. Does the GM have a recommendation for this?

Uh, "A": Sizzler? and "B" according to game rules I couldn't hold onto it, so it comes off as useless to me at this point and if I can redeem it for something better then great.

What's an emotitoy, and how does it add 6 dice to a negotiation roll? I want one!!!

There are two versions of an emotitoy. One is a stand alone unit, the more expensive unit turns it into a 'mini drone' that is able to cling to clothing, or even walk around on you etc. Effectively they are miniature devices that use specialized software (both presented in Arsenal) to try and read people's emotions etc and give feed back to the user based on these observations. They come rated R1-6 like most gear and the raiting dictates the bonus they provide.

The downside is their not that cheap, and are easily countered... by simply having an emotitoy of your own of equal or better rating.

Ultimately they are very specialized tools for negotiators and have very little use outside of 'social combat' where your trying to intimidate or negotiate with people.

oh, just wanted to let you guys know my proposed leadership challeneg wasn't against falcone, but rather Larad. I see the two of us having one major phallic measuring contest throughout the duration of this campaign if my guess is correct. But the whole Falcone leading the group? interesting angle there.

Falcone is not in the group, nor is he leading the group but he needed to have the team accept the job before he gave out information as the kidnapping becoming public could sink his business. I thought I made that point! Was it not clear to you all? Sorry!

Far as I knew we were stil in a mild negociation stage since he didn't specifically state he would absolutely not provide us with.. well pretty much any detials prior to accepting the job. Such things while, not entirely unexpected, was still something I was trying to do prior to us just jumping on board, in part because GMs past have occasionally used such knee jerk reactions to set the team up

Nah - not my style - and I think that he was all negotiated out - I mean he has his limits of what he will provide and what he will pay and no amount of Negotiation dice rolls are going to change that. That's bottom line.

The other thing is that you are getting 1,000 up front and then 4,000 upon completion. Thats 5,000 each. Plus bonuses for everyone in the team for certain information rendered. What more do you want?

Some basic information up front before accepting the job!

I mean 5k on a job is pretty standard for run of the mill runner work in SR4 but that does not mean runners should just take what ever job their offered, even if the pay itself SOUNDS good.

Some jobs set up the runners to take the fall. Some jobs set the runners up to die in weapons tests, and so on and so forth. This is all quite well represented in SR cannon and even mission layouts ever since at least SR2, and was a heavy theme in SR3 that continued on into SR4. Of course thats mixed in the whole way with 'regular' jobs and the occasional very large one etc.

It was not an issue of money at that point, it was an issue that ok.. your offering us 5k, but for what exactly? Try and weedle at least a few basic details out before taking the job, make sure the J is being (reasonably) honest with you.

Also, never had you as a GM before, dont know you as a player so I'm not just going to assume every job you give us is going to actually be (relatively) upfront and not a setup. Hell I dont mind jobs that are, they can be a lot of fun. But any runner worth a damn knows to dig up as much on the J and the job as they can before saying yes.
