Siona has been born a privileged child in a privileged family. The Dublin O'Finnegan were a big name in Tir nan'Og society. Or so they claimed. The members of said family had the incredible good luck of only ever birthing elves. Or so they claimed. Siona was raised with the firm belief in pointy eared superiority over the other metaraces.
Her magical talent made her precious for the extended Family. And they excused a lot of her excetricity. Not that she was spared the pressure to be the best. After all, to be an elf were to be perfection. The young elf learned her trade from a Righ of the wheel, being supposed to follow that path herself. Other teachers instructed her in self defense. An important part of education in the modern world. Carromeleg masters trained her until she could at the very least defend herself against semi professional attackers long enough to get help.
On her 18th birthday, her teacher tested her, ordering Siona to summon a very strong spirit. It almost broke free, and her struggle to maintain control put her whole being under more strain than she had ever felt before. This was the moment something snapped. It could be compared to a second awakening when suddenly a second pair of arms thrusted through her robes. Her hair, which had been a heavy auburn, freed itself from the braid and cascaded down her shoulders in all the colours of the sky. The magical strain had triggered SURGE in her. To say she was shocked would be quite an understatement. Her extended families reaction was less than appreciative also. Sionas perfection was tainted. Only her magical talent securing a place in the ranks anymore. For some reason, her parents still loved her though. And they stood to their little girl. In the process of recuperation, Siona learned a little about medicine, since she had to use certain treatments on herself for a while, as the transformation had taken a lot out of her.
At 16, her family arranged an engagement with Fortesque Lancer, the son of another noble family. When Sionas little accident happened, both families appointed a meeting to discuss the event. The nerves of everyone were pulled to the point of rupture. And Siona never had been the most level headed of humanity. Fortesque was greatl displeased with the prospect of marriage to the 'freak' as he called her, repeatedly. One humiliating remark too much later, Fortesques right arm was injured by a lightning bolt Siona threw at him. Fortunately, she had not concentrated enough to make it a strong one. The young nobleman kept his arm, but lost his dignity.
Sionas Parents, well knowing the vengeful nature of the ex suitor, put their whole influence into the task of shipping Siona off Ireland before the Lancers could do anything to their daughter. Seattle was deemed far enough away from reach. And yet, Fortesque rallied up his relatives to take revenge on the freak that humiliated one of them, and thus the family as a whole. (enemy group.)
Her parents hoped out of sight equals out of mind. Being of moderate wealth, they were providing her with an equally moderate lifestyle. (Quality Trust Fund, middle life style) Siona didn't take it lightly and refused to leave her family. It was a nasty argument that ended in a physial brawl. It got so bad, she had to be tranquilized in order to be put onto the suborbital to Seattle.
Currently, she has been in Seattle for less than three weeks. Her one contact so far was a distant relative which happened to dabble in the shadows, who also was supposed to keep an eye on her. Elaine is loyal as can be expected, although her influence doesn't reach much further than her gun does.
What Siona doesn't know, is that Elaine had tagged her with an RFID to always be able to locate her. Just to annoy Elaine, Siona had snagged away a package of laés cigarettes from the runner relative. And she has hidden the tranq patches, hoping to avoid being 'put to bed' again.

3. What was the character's family life like?
In her early life, her family was not very wealthy. Due to her Albinism she stuck out and she got discriminated in school and community. Which lead her parents to move to Tir Taingire, which wasn’t easy to achieve to begin with. And their hopes of an undisturbed life among other elfes didn’t work out either, which caused growing frustration of her parents and increasing tension in the family. When Specter was old enough, she left the Tir and went to Seattle.
4. Has the character begun his/her own family?
No she hasn’t.
5. Where or how was the character educated?
Preschool in Seattle, later elementary school in Tir Taingire. Elemental, junior high and high school. Her magic skills she learned from Dragon, from customers in Williams talis shop and from some spirits.
6. Has the character ever done anything else for a living?
She worked in a small Stuffer Shack store first when she came to Seattle. A short while later she worked for a Talismonger and stayed there for longer. But when her boss was shot, she went into the shadows.
7. What are the character's spiritual and philosophical beliefs? (Religion, political views, etc.)
She believes in the power of nature, but also of the human mind. Although humans are dumber than animals most of the time. Specter isn’t interested in Politics as long as parties are involved. Although she’s on the pro nature and pro metahumanity side.
8. Describe the character's moral code. Include how mercenary he/she is, whether or not he’ll/she'll kill innocents, etc. Innocence is a matter of perspective.
She wouldn’t kill a child or take it away from her parents. But her sense for revenge is very strong. And she will avenge a slight against herself. An insult as well as an attack. If the money is right, or the motivation, she will do about any job.
9. What are the character's goals?
Living her life as she pleases, earning good money, getting better at her magic and have a good life altogether.
10. Why does the character run the shadows? (Why does he/she run the shadows still, rather than getting a "real" job?)
First she got into the shadows to avenge Williams death, the talismonger she worked for. But soon she got to appreciate the style of living in the shadows. Now, she lives by her own rules and the laws of nature, not the rules and laws of men.
11. What kind of personality does your character have? This should not necessarily be obviously stated in the background, as it is more important for actually playing the character, but it may color or add mood to the history.
Specter can be sweet and kind to people she likes. And truly caring for someone she feels connected to. For others she cares less. And if she dislikes someone, she has no problem harming said person or at least to teach them a harsh lesson. Her mood changes like the phases of the moon. One day calm and caring, the other day hot headed and filled with the instinct to hunt. She doesn’t make friends quickly. But whom she befriends tightly can count on her.
12. What special qualities does the character possess? This does not refer to skills, but rather to other things, such as how he/she gets along with people, whether he/she plans ahead, etc.
She treats people according to her impression. A polite person she’ll be kind to. When she senses a good heart, she may bond quickly and care for the person. On the other hand she can be cold and emotionless to someone who is just a job. Or a Johnson. Together with her appearance, that can be intimidating, which she uses to her advantage.
13. Are there certain things that the character can't or won't do? Why?
She would not destroy something magical. Unless it puts herself in mortal danger. Be it an artefact, a place or an entity. She doesn’t harm children for they are still innocent to a degree. Unless some ganger dares to attack her, in which case he isn’t innocent, but stupid, and deserves a lesson.
14. What things, people, or ideas does the character hate?
She hates racists, narrow minded fanatics and bullies. Funny enough, she bullies others around at times. Being pressed into a category is also annoying.
15. What things people, or ideas does the character love?
Her magic powers, freedom in all forms, nature and fried chicken. She also loves her family, though there’s almost no contact anymore, and the family of Ling Ho, who are very close friends.

In her youth, Specter went to school and learned eagerly. But her appearance lead to bullying and kept her from having close friends. She liked music and still does. Her parents moved to Tir Tairngire to escape prejudice and racism when she was four years old. But it didn’t get much better for Specter herself. When she was old enough, she moved to Seattle.
18. Decide why your character left his/her old job, if he/she had one. (Also important)
Her friend and boss, William, was shot when a turf war and a run gone bad intertwined. Specter decided to avenge his death on the people responsible for his death, the boss of the gang and the Johnson who set up the runners. It took her several months.
19. Come up with a reason for why the character became a shadowrunner. (This very often will tie in with #22. This is not the same as #10, but rather why he/she started running the shadows originally. What led him/her to it?)
To get her revenge, she went head first into the shadows and became a shadowrunner. At first it was just a mean to the end. But she began to appreciate the way of life.
20. How did your character come to know his/her contacts? Contacts are an important part of Shadowrun; decide how and why you know them.
Specter met Nathan on a run. She pulled him out of the line of fire. No big deal for her. But he was thankful (and rather smitten by her pretty face). That was three months ago. When she needs some internal info of Lone Star, she can ask him. But in return she has to deal with frequent invitations to dinner and bad pick up lines. The quality of his info is not the best, as he is still a rookie and not high ranked in Lone Star. Smuggler is simply the new fixer of her. They know each other for a couple months now. He has proven trustworthy to her and she has proven competent to him. A business relationship to their mutual benefit. When Specter had her fifth run, it was supposed to be an extraction from a double A residential area. The Runnerteam was freshly assembled. But the target Jin Chao was not at stated a grown up, but a little boy of eight. The father Sam Chao guarded the boy as the last line of defense. Seeing that display of care touched Specter somewhat. That and a strange feeling made her stop. She conferred with her teammates. As their Johnson provided them with obvious false information, she was able to persuade two of them to abort the mission. The third though was just in for the money and didn’t care about who to extract. She dealt with that one after he attempted to run over her to get the boy. Her decision got her the friendship of Sam Chao, who by chance was the second in command for the Seattle Triad of the red lotus. They have held up their friendship ever since.

She is running for about three years now.

Specter does have a legal SIN from Tir Tairngire. But avoids to use it wherever possible.

Dragon is of course the ideal for her. Free and only bound by her own rules. Musicians come right after magicians in her esteem. Music is like magic, just wonderful.

Brutes, Humanis, squareheads, people who don’t care for their children. Also she doesn’t like Bear Shamans. Not ever since one of them defeated her in a duel.

Her vindictiveness. Sometimes she wonders if she’s too obsessed with getting back at others. But she can’t help herself.

Saving Jin Chao, and in the process saving Sam Chao’s life.

She feels connected to neo paganism. Artemis the huntress is a role model for her. But she doesn’t involve herself in any organized religion.

She has no contact to them since she went into the shadows. But she knows where they live, and they know that she’s still alive. The last thing she heard was that her parents have had another child. A ‘normal’ one this time.
36. If the character's family is still alive, what do they do, and where do they live?
They live in Tir Tairngire, in a small town east of Portland. Specters father is an electrician, the mother, formerly working as a store clerk, is now taking care of the new child.
37. Where did the character learn his/her Skills? Be as complete as possible.
She learned driving back in the Tir, with her mother. From her father and his parents, she also learned speaking English. After a few schoolmates got a bit too close to abusing her, Specter went into a carromeleg group and learned how to defend herself. It proved useful in her later career as well. Her magic awakened shortly before she left the Tir, but she kept it a secret as to not become even more strange to her surroundings. But when she met William the talismonger, he started teaching her how to use her skills. Customers helped out where Williams knowledge ended. And of course Dragon took an active role in her training too. With William, she also learned some etiquette and the basics in shooting a pistol, it was not the best neighbourhood where they lived.
38. List any past serious relationships that your character has had, and give a brief overview of the relationship. There has not been a serious relationship up to now. She barely even had any sexual encounter. Especially not with a male. Except for the one time the group of guys rounded up on her after school, that almost went tragic.

She has a few occasional friends with whom she meets in clubs and bars. Also she’s in a few chatrooms regarding magic and nature.

She has a faible for bad puns. She also tends to sniff on her food or drink before actually taking the first bite/sip. She loves to be barefoot.

The Johnson who’s life she ruined after he caused Williams death is certainly an enemy. But he’s in no shape to do much about it. Other enemies are most probably dead. 3. What was the character's family life like? Hell. Dad’s a Humanis. They kicked him out for having me. And he let me know that every day. Worse when he was on chips or alc, hitting me and stuff. Glad to be out of there and I’m not going back. Never met my mom. She left after I was born.

At least I want people to think I’m tough. But deep down I’m scared. The world is huge and cold. I’m learning to become tough though. And nobody will ever hurt me again. You know, sometimes I think it’d be nice to have a mom. Someone to hold you when the shivers come. Someone you can trust. *Laughs * Nice dream, right?

Darkon is a spike baby, born long before the awakening. He does not look like an Elf much, but inherits the longevity of the race, and a certain charismatic vibe.

3. What was the character's family life like? His family life was protected and loving. Growing up long before the desolation of the sixth world, childhood was almost cliché like pleasant.
4. Has the character begun his/her own family? He has had girlfriends every now and then. Never married. And has no children because he feels too young for kids yet. At least he knows of none. But in the recent years, he has taken in a few girls in his home. The last one of which is Brighid, the daughter of a friend of his, who died on a run.
5. Where or how was the character educated? Public school in Germany. When magic awoke in 2012 he soon learned his true calling.
6. Has the character ever done anything else for a living? Darkon worked in many places. In his youth, he jobbed around in his hometown. Later, he worked for private security in the magical department. But he soon went to make his own business, also working in the shadows. Lately, he came to Seattle to work in the shadows there.
7. What are the character's spiritual and philosophical beliefs? (Religion, political views, etc.) Everyone in ones own fashion. That describes him quite well. He practiced paganism before it became hip. Darkon believes in people, not organisations. Be it cons, political parties or governments.

Although he can be flexible at times about what harm means. He wouldn’t kill innocents. And is more at home helping people than hurting them. But he has been around long enough to know that sometimes you can’t help the people without hurting others. As well as that law doesn’t equal justice. Laws are more guidelines that should make you think before you break them.

Beeper is a talismonger/fixer specialized in magical goods and deeds. Darkon knows him through a friend of his, Morrigan. When she died, he came over to the UCAS to take care of her daughter Brighid. Beeper provided him with magical supplies.
Barnabas is a Dragon shaman Darkon met on the Galapagos islands, where they both participated in a few rituals. He lives near the Yellowstone park and they correspond regularly.
Frank Miller is a streetdoc. About a year ago, when some punks got the better of Darkon after he had a really bad day, Frank sowed him together and patched him up.
Nekosune is a hacker, and Darkon suspects something more. He took her in after he found her living as a squatter. She is SURGEd and looks almost like a half turned werecat. They have become quite close recently, but at the moment Nekosune is off on a run.
Ubuntu MacWindows is an artificial intelligence. It and Darkon met shortly after crash 2.0 when it conquered his personal computer. It was originally designed as a coordination and logistics tool. Or so it claimed. After a bit of a hassle, they could establish communication. Being the open person he is, Darkon let Ubuntu keep the computer as a home and bought a new one for himself. It still lives somewhere in Den Haag. In the meantime the computer had been upgraded and enhanced and weights almost half a ton by now and is mobile by itself.
Laura Hold is a private investigator and lives in New York. They met when one of Darkons clients got robbed and both were on the chase for the runners that did it.
Horatio Stravinski is a state official in Pomorya, in the allied german states. They met on a convention about pre awakening Germany. Unfortunately for both, the convention turned out to be a right wing policlub gathering, so they left and Darkon took Horatio on a sightseen tour through the town it was held talking about the good old times.
Le Chevalier is a street samurai from New Orleans. Mardi Gras was some party. And the orc drank everyone under the table.

Robyn is a runaway. Darkon has taken a liking of her when he met her in Los Angeles. Sensing a budding magical talent in the teenager, he invited her to accompany him. With the alternative of living on the street, the girl agreed. And he trained her as good as he could. She seems on her way to become a shaman herself.
That was almost three years ago. Now she’s 16 and seems to have fallen in love with him quite a bit. Something Darkon doesn’t mind at all, although he approaches carefully given her age. But then, for a 91 year old man, all the women today seem young.
Brighid is Morrigans daughter. Darkon moved to Seattle to take care of her. About three months ago. A typical girl of 14, she is stubborn, headstrong and impulsive. But she also can be caring and kind. Slowly, she has started to accept Darkon as some kind of father figure, well more as an older brother actually. She and Robyn get along alright, aside of occasional bitching from Brighids side.

36. If the character's family is still alive, what do they do, and where do they live? His brothers children and grandchildren live in germany. At least three of them are cooks. One is working in the shadows as a streetsam, one is married to a conslave for Saeder Krupp.
37. Where did the character learn his/her Skills? Be as complete as possible. Most of what he knows and can do, he learned by himself. From books, experimentation, practice. Dragon helped along the way, being a mentor and friend.
38. List any past serious relationships that your character has had, and give a brief overview of the relationship. Too many over the years to count them. Most brief, others lasted a few years. One notable in the situation might be Morrigan. They dated for a while when she was in Europe. That was a few years before she had born her daughter though.
39. Beyond your character's relationship with family or lovers, how would you describe his/her social life? He’s someone to befriend easily. Darkon has a few very good friends and quite a few casual friends. But the most of them live in Europe, Asia and in the UCAS. In Seattle he has only a few casual friends. But enough to get by.
40. Where does your character live? Why does he/she live there? (I'd like a physical address, including Neighborhood, City & State. Google maps is a good way to get this.) Darkon just moved into a nice comfy house with room enough for his lodge and a small harem. It’s in the elven colony in downtown Seattle. A good neighbourhood, high security, nice food, and even street performances from time to time.
41. Does your character have any quirks or idiosyncrasies? He has a faible for bad puns. Also Darkon talks to his staff. A shoulder high, wooden Staff that has a raven head carved on top. Some people claim to have heard it caw a reply sometimes.
42. Does your character have any enemies? (Include anything from an arch nemesis who's sworn to kill you and all you hold dear to a bartender who holds a grudge for that time you slipped out on the tab.) Darkon has kept a low profile enough as to not make any serious enemies lately.
