Is this character for SR 4th? The way some things are worded make my wonder. I can't give a comment if it isn't.

No he is not.I do not own a shadowrun 4th ed. Rule book so I don't base a whole lot on it.
I guess it would be a custom built.

Custom built? I don't understand. There has to be a edition you are using to build or there is no way anybody can give you advice.

You have posted up a few different threads on SRO, and it's great to see some new players coming around. I think you will really enjoy the SR4 rule set, and it will help you to become a part of the SR-Online community. Also, building characters, and playing in games here is a lot of fun. There are a lot of seasoned experts who will be able to help you get acclimated to the SR4 rules, and help you to navigate the book.
If you have the choice: I would suggest that you purchase the SR4 20th Anniversary Edition, which has a slightly updated set of rules from the original SR4. But if you can't find one, the original SR4 will be a great start, and you can download a PDF with the updates to the rules from the internet. Plenty of people on SRO are using their original SR4 books and the updated PDF for reference.

Good Luck! And I can't wait to see this character concept updated to a rules-set that we are all familiar with. It will be fun!

As I've stated I am homeless and very,very poor.Just comeing up with enough money to get a tin of Skoal every few days is a chore and I useally panhandle for money.This being stated $35.00 for a rule book is waaay out of my budget ATM.I need the little bit of money I do have for pressing needs.I have been trying to memorize the quick-start rules for the time being.If other rule sorces are avaible then please send me the links via a PM.

I wish you the best of luck with scraping your money together for a tin of Shoal. I can imagine that being homeless would put a bit of a crimp in the ShadowRun budget, and have to agree with you that if that were my situation, somehow SR books would find themselves being shouldered off the budget.

I would suggest, instead, that you just do the best you can with what you know, and ask us players with books to kick in a little bit to help you shore up your characters to the SR4 rules.

For starters: There at 8 different attributes:

Body, Strength, Agility, Reaction, Charisma, Logic, Intuition, and Willpower
In addition to that are the conditional attributes of Edge (sort of like luck), Magic, and Essence (represents you inherent "humanity" in today's language; essence is lost by installing cyberware/bioware in your body).

That's a good place to start. Take a look a the way other characters on here are built, and try to emulate that. Once you're close, people will start to chime in with their advice.
