Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad. |

| Is there some sort of negative quality like that? My brother once played with someone who's character was a swordsman with a complete aversion to guns, to the point he would try and disarm anyone, friend or foe, using guns next to him. | |

I guess you could pick "prejudice" but thats really sketchy also if youd plan to play a character like that disaming friends cause they carry guns well.. Im my case id just kill your character right there....thats a serious issue and i doubt youd get much jobs from a Jonhson | |

| Would likely fall under prejudice or Quirk sort of thing. Constantly trying to disarm team mates of their guns however is a damn fast way to loose them though. It's also not even a remotely sane flaw and is bound to cause conflict in groups which means at least in any game I GM I probably wouldn't ever even consider allowing something that extreme (Though refusing to use guns yourself is another story) | |

| IN a way you could have an aversion towards guns...choose to only melee...some culture consider range combat as cowardly...disarm you ennemies....and scorn your teamates for using guns and having no honor...THAT would alot more sense | |

| You could use Prejudice. Or the Allergy/Phobia template is quite useful for this like this. You would have to work with your GM to figure out the breakdown, but it could be made to work. And if you're careful, and are playing with players who enjoy quirks like that, it could be quite funny. On the other hand, it could turn out to be supremely annoying as well, as Kesslan pointed out, and might cause dissonance in your group. | |

| By disarming someone, I mean anyone aiming in his direction, not just someone standing next to him with a gun. One example is someone aimed at an enemy behind the swordsman, so he had to pass a check to not instinctively disarm the gun aiming at him. It's sort of like Combat Monster, but I don't know if he reacted like this in the first meeting, or if they were a group for some time and he still did it. | |
