Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

something like this might be happening somewhere, if so i am sorry that i missed it.
this might be in Wanted ad, but not sure this is the proper way to mix missions/runs with what i have planed.

Had the idea to test my characters against each other so while the mission are dragging along in a slow pace people could have some fun battling out some duels.
I am not thinking about simple one on one, but one with background, for example to darken the room by shooting the light bulb.

the process might be that there are 2 duelists who take part mostly making rolls for their actions and a GM or more ten one to set the thresholds and proofreading, helping the players, sometimes illustrating the event.

this would help me to learn how to be a GM and i hope would bring fun to the players.
suggest starting with standard 400BP builds streetSams. but of course you can challenge other people to a duel when you see their char in a game and would like to test yourself against it.

So give me the heads up if you want take part.

"It was a dark and stormy night..."
Yeah, making some characters to perform in specialty duels would be cool. However, just trying how to overcome visible light modifiers is too easy. Everybody would probably take a race with an inherent vision bonus, and getting contacts with the opposite vision bonus, and then put infared and low-light flashlights in their guns. You would have to make some extra stipulations or make the environment more interesting. For example, a warehouse that stores various non-lethal grenades has had a work-related accident, so the fuses are blown (no lights or fans) and there is a pervasive smoke that blocks lasers and inhibits both thermal and low-light vision, in addition to astral sight. However, hidden inside this warehouse is an experimental new grenade that megacorporations A and B both want to acquire. One hires runner Y and the other hires runner Z. Mayhem ensues.
You'd have to make some rules:
"You can't remove the smoke." i.e., Clean Air spell
"You can't restore the power." i.e. to turn the lights or fans back on
Also:
"You have to burn the rope."

I would apply with a ghoul (blind) martial artist adept. Another idea would be a spider changeling who weaves a web and waits for the opponent to stumble into it. Another might just take a whole bunch of drones and miniguns and fill the room with hot lead, but I doubt the corps would appreciate that.

by that small example I was trying to go in the direction PresentPresence is speaking about., was putting out for show, most likely capture the flag missions.

Nice to see at least one who would like to test his steal.

as for the characters we might have many different ways to determine the best layout, for example 300BP char keeping in mind that 100 would be for skills outside combat and so on.
