DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND
Although he stands 2.75 meters tall with lanky arms that stretch to his knees, Jaeger’s size isn’t the first thing you notice -- it’s his gracefulness. That’s right, omaea, a graceful troll. Jaeger was born with abnormally long limbs and from a young age displayed speed and dexterity abnormal for a troll. Presumably finding this more a curse than a blessing, Jaeger’s parents abandoned him in the streets of Seattle at a young age. He manage to stay alive in the sprawl for several years on his own, surviving on devil rats and dumpster scraps until he was eventually found and adopted by the ork magician Greegree.
Greegree, is the chief of a small urban tribe of awakened orks and trolls known as the “Gede Family”. Greegree is an outspoken member of the Ork Rights Committee and is rumored to be affiliated with the Sons of Sauron. Officially, Greegree insists that he and his “family” are dedicated to the peaceful advancement of ork and troll rights.
Though Greegree is the spiritual leader of the tribe, Jaeger’s sensei is the unfortunately-named troll adept, Smashy-Smashy. Over the years, Smashy-Smashy has honed Jaeger’s natural strength, unusual speed, and keen vision and has trained him to become a stealth tank. At distance, Jaeger deploys his longbow from concealment, launching over meter-long arrows that can punch through even the toughest armor. In close combat, Jaeger wields a one-handed claymore and riot shield to cut a vast swath of death around him.

The Gede Family tribal lands are located in the Plastic Jungles, but Jaeger is currently living on the streets of Redmond. On the 10th anniversary of Jaeger’s “adoption” by the Gede Family, Greegree sat Jaeger down and spoke these words: “Jaeger, it is time for you to decide who you are. To do this, you must leave the family for a time and find yourself.”
“I no understand,” replied Jaeger. “Why I have to leave to find self? I am Jaeger.”
“Jaeger, Jaeger, Jaeger. I know that you have done things ... to yourself,” Greegree said, gesturing with thinly-veiled distain at Jaeger’s augmented body. “You are conflicted. You do not fully trust the adept path.”
“No!” Jaeger protested. “I trust, I trust!”
“Jaeger,” Greegree said placing his hand on Jaeger’s chest, “based on your abilities alone, you are more than ready for full initiation into the Gede Family. But your mind is not. You must choose this for yourself, and you must choose it freely.”
“So now it is time for you to go. Decide who you will be. Some chromed out SAM-MOO-RAY,” Greegree spit out, “or a true warrior who wields power that no science can match.”
“When I can come home,” Jaeger asked.
“Your home will always be here, and your family will always be ready to help you. When you are ready, you will find your way back,” Greegree responded. “In the meantime, go south. Our brothers and sisters are struggling for survival in the Verge. I have spoken of your abilities with my contacts within the Crimson Crush. Of course, the decision to help -- or not -- is yours.”
And with that, Jaeger packed his belongings into his oversized backpack, slung his massive longbow, quiver of arrows, claymore, and shield on his back, and set out into the Barrens…
