Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

Okay, so... here's the thing...

I'm a little bit confused. Not trying to say how to do your RP because by all means you do it your way, whatever works! But I can't figure out why there are OOC posts... in the IC thread? OOC: Out of character, as in the player saying something, directly opposed to IC: in character, or the character's actions and dialog and stuffs.

So why are there posts of 'I'm gonna have my guy do this and here are the dice rolls' in the IC thread? Shouldn't it be [My guy's name] does this and this and looks at the camera with a glint in his eye and only a single strand of hair drifts in front of his perfectly chiseled features while he-' well, you get the idea. And then the dice rolls below that, which either let the GM say 'yeah, you're awesome, and the bad guys collapse to the ground in sheer shock from the sonic wave of coolness radiating off of you' or 'nope, you trip on a piece of floss and bust your face into seven pieces'.

Or you know, somethin' like that! I'm just confused is all! o.O

And Aalith, don't feel bad, I once got 1 hit out of 23 dice. =P

We are using OOC to talk to other players and []-s to talk about what our characters doing and then go and describe it in IC without the []-s.

And 1 hit out of 23...that's just sheer bad luck. Or a curse. But look at the bright side - at least you didn't roll a glitch (12 1-s, imagine that Shocked )

Dura: trying to work out the details of how we are going to do things as we are doing it. I want most things (actions, dialog and rolls) in the IC thread, and the OOC thread is for BSing chatting and whatnot.

This isn't how it started out, trying to get it into a way that works.

Aalith, here's what had happened: I had 12 dice, rolled them, got 1 hit. Used a point of edge to reroll the failures... got no hits. 23 dice, 1 hit. xD

St_Noogy... okay! :3 Was just checkin'~

And yes, as I said, the roleplay is good. I was just frustrated because my speech hadn't any affect (I should have taken Leadership).

Seeing as the hacker has no programs, and the technomancer/rigger has to thread any attack programs, they actually did the most sensible thing. Got out of the line of fire, and look for unsecured nodes.

OK, I need abit of help here. Ricky is going to get very angry as the girl next to him seems in great pain because of these people. He's going to get the gurney rolling and then run at the nearest available baddy he can geta clean run at looking to slam it into him.

Would this be a pilot ground vehicle attack? What type of attack would it be. And I think I'm going ot spend an edge point to hit someone.

help?

Well, I'd say it's a Clubs roll, unless you're actually driving it, or riding it, it's not really a vehicle. Sadly, with the lack of nodes in the room, the gurneys are not AR/VR controllable.

I think ramming something that's on wheels into someone (especially if they are fighting with someone else) is not that hard, and it's certainly not clubs skill related. Maybe an agi+str or running. If it hits the opponent or a friendly or both, is another question.

GM Call:
Professor: Unless Ricky is going to pick up the gurney and swing it like a club then clubs skill isn't applicable. I think this is one of those situations where a skill doesn't fit the action (i mean really how much skill does it take ot push a cart around...really) so lets make it a straight attribute roll of strength plus agility (Aalith you beat me to it, but an athletics roll could also be used, so pick your dice pool and go that route)

so i'm not sure what i have to roll for disarming someone?

i want to grab the gun from the "coat" but i can't find any rules for disarming in the book.

i might just be stupid and am overlooking a rule somewhere, but would it just be my unarmed + AGI vs his defense? or do i get some crazy minuses?

i read that for touch only you get a bonus and for called shots you get a neg so would they cancel since i'm not trying to inflict damage but i am aiming to get the gun?

and he would get a neg for damage, just like i should get a bonus cause he's on the ground.

im sorry for all the question i'm still working out some of the rules.

jagger: it is a little confusing but Ricky gets an action followed by the guards, then shu, andrew and Atashi till close out he phase.
it would be hard to wait for your turn in the initiative order to post so i am just looking at it as:
Before the guards
the guards
after the guards (and Tokko's phase two action)

the only time i break it down further is when two peoples actions effects the others.

would it be easier another way?

Nickel: a disarm attempt would probable be more called shot and grapple than a touch attach. sure you arent tring to hurt him but you are trying to pry a gun out of his fingers.... not the easiest thing to do and not get shot in the process......

You're doing great, St Nougat, don't change on my account. I tend to get confused too easily anyway. :-)

But its getting late and I need sleep. Back for more tomorrow

Nickel: Edge regenerates basically on my sayso, usually at the end of a large chapter of game play when the characters get some real downtime.

Jagger: Thank you

You spend a complex action to maintain the grapple (Trust me grappling is hard) and will make a strength test vs his strength to get the gun out of his hand, you will get a 2 die bonus for sitting on his chest and being able to apply your full effect on his one hand.
