Ok everyone, it's time for Initiative rolls... Combat will be beginning any time now.

Kesslan
Whether they were planning on it already, or they were following his orders was irrelevant at the moment. As soon as Kesslan said "Fan Out," the group dispersed in to the underbrush. In moments, none of them were clearly visible. Kesslan could still clearly hear the crackling of sticks and brush as they settled in to positiom, but noise was mostly irrelevant with the boat's engines droaning loud enough to wake the dead. There wasn't any chance at all that the boat was allowing any sounds from the shore to be heard.
Peering through the scope, Kesslan was clearly able to see the boat. It was a relatively modern speed boat, likely designed for pleasure-cruising. It had also clearly been modified, with very visible Smart Armor coating the underside of the boat. Due to the design, and the boat heading toward the island, it was impossible to tell if the top of the boat was armored as well, but that wasn't terribly relevant either. Kesslan wasn't planning on shooting down from above at the moment. It was an open-top model, and the passengers didn't have any cover from above, though the seating arrangements would put them 90% below the walls of the boat anyway, giving them all the cover they would need in this sort of a tactical situation. They would be vulnerable to weather. But not so much gunshots - If they were expecting any.
The occupants of the boat were not clearly visible, either because they were moving too quickly, or because of the clothing they were wearing. Either way, it was obvious that they were not standing up, or hanging out over the sides of the boat. There were no obvious mounted weapons, and the driver, who could be seen behind the semi-tinted windshield, may or may not have been wearing armor and weapons. The only current information Kesslan had to go on was the report by Specter that they had 2 spirits in two, along with Eleanor's report that they were coming in "hot," which likely meant they were running at full speed. At their current distance, and speed, it looked likely that they were planning on running aground on the beach.

Magic Group
Ashe took a few steps away from Specter as soon as she heard Kesslan's order to "Fan Out," knowing that, despite that he hadn't actually said it, the order would apply to the magic users as well. From a little more than 3 meters away, Ashe could still clearly see Specter and Viking, but had the clearance necessary to dodge, more or less, out of the line of fire if something came their way. Ashe took just a moment to focus, before the fighting got exciting, and requested the presence of one of her Spirit companions, wiping the light bead of sweat off her brow due to the concentration required of Summoning. It wasn't hard to choose which of her Spirit Companions she was interested in using at the moment. This was a combat situation, and no one could do that better than a Fire Spirit. At least, none of her current companions. In addition, Ashe had decided that a little extra protection would be in order. She figured that calling upon her Guidance Spirit for aid may be an appropriate request as well.
"Come, my friends, and join me." She mumbled under her breath, sending the same words through her Magic in to the Ether. The words traveled along those invisible lines, connecting her to the Spirit Companions she knew so well. They would heed Ashe's words and come, as they always had. In a mere moment, there was powerful Fire Spirit floating at Ashe's shoulder, fully materialized and visible to both Specter and Viking. It appeared as, more or less, a living flame, 4 feet wide and 8 feet tall. It had none of the "human" features that spirits often take when they materialize. Ashe turned to her, smiling, and addressed her with a bow.
"I will have need of your help, I think, in a few moments. Will you please stand by, with me, and watch the water-craft approach us?" Ashe said, speaking toward the middle of the flame. As it was floating, it would likely have been somewhat uncomfortable for Ashe to address the top of the flame. An instant later, another spirit appeared to Ashe, nearly directly next to the Fire Spirit. This one appeared as a large white glowing orb. As soon as Ashe had addressed the Fire Spirit, who had arrived first, by only the faintest of margins, Ashe turned to the glowing orb to address it as well.
"I will have need of your help as well, I think. In a few moments, I, and my colleagues here, may be attacked. If that happens, would you be so kind as to lend your aid in Guarding us?" Ashe said to the orb, after bowing to it like she had to the Flame.
Neither Spirit responded, at least, in audible words. But both stayed put, and seemed to be content with her request.

Just as Ashe's second spirit appeared Right next to Viking his Valkyrie materialized holding her shield in a defensive position, her eyes gloving in light blue, lightning arcs running all over her body. It was clear to see that she did not like the presence of Ashe or her spirits there.
"Do not feel threatened, my Love, they are on our side." Viking said in a low voice.

Her shield lowered, the lightning diminished and her eyes returned to the Green they used to have. Valkyrie took a look at Viking who had taken place behind a fallen tree stump. He was the peace itself.

It was no unusual that Valkyrie would act on her own to protect him and he was happy he had such a good companion.

there it was again, the sound of the boat. Viking heard it, and frowned toward it " This is the reason I, need your help, my love, they are coming to disturb our peace here on this island and as far is I know they too have at least two magicaly active beings on their side. So i will ask of you to protect me and my friends, as you always have done."

Valkyrie Turned toward the ocean, and the Lightning took over her body, it jumped from place to place in a random order. Her favourite element - electricity.

Viking turned his attention toward the Ocean himself they would come ashore soon. he had to prepare, so he started to recite the spell for stuntbolt.

Kesslan doesn't take terribly long to come to a decision once he gets a quick glance of the boat. Smart armour wasn't subtle, and it wasn't something you put on just any vehicle, that was generally considered milspec setup and the fact that such a craft was fast headed inbound told him all the rest he needed to know. 'Waste them' he sent out over the comlink even as he dropped the mag in his rifle to swap it out with one loaded with APDS rounds and then started aiming at the outline he'd seen of the crafts pilot through the cross hairs of his scope while making slight adjustments for windage, elevation and speed.

When she heard Kesslans command over the comlink, she grinned. “I agree with that assumption.” With that, Specter reached deep into the mana, drawing raw energy and focussing it in one small ball, pressing it together, tighter and tighter. The energy felt like a spiked ball, squirming to be released. But she pressed it tighter yet. Her gaze through the binoculars fixed on the closing boat.

A moment passed in calm, but no more. Following the moment of calm, there was a swerving of the boat. It veered off course to the right, then back toward it's track, heading in to the beach. Now no more than 5 seconds out, or so, the boat seemed to have realized it was under attack. Of course, the magicians in the group knew why: Specter's Manaball had been noticed. Another moment passed, an instant in time, so quick as to be immeasurable. Unless you're in the midst of a fight for your life, where every second dragging by seems to take an hour. And in that merest of instants, another attack followed the first. There was a deep, bright burst of flame from the center of the boat. The kind of flame any Magician would have been proud to be able to create.
"Magicians: Move Now!" Ashe grunted in to her Commlink, clearly deep in concentration. If anyone had been watching her at that moment, they would have seen white streaks of plasma slicing through the air about her hands as she concentrated. The effect, if someone could watch it in slow-motion, would have been something like a "summoning" of Plasma, followed by a concentration of some sort, pulling those Plasma Streaks in to a ball in the midst of her hands. It would have looked quite likely to be incredibly hot and uncomfortable. But this was not in slow motion, and Ashe's Lightning Bolt seemed to have appeared from nowhere, arcing out from her hands to form a Lightning Bridge, for just long enough to strike the boat.
The boat jumped from the surface of the water, clearly reacting to the violent attack. Ashe stumbled backward, and would likely have fallen, if not for the intervention of the Glowing Orb hovering behind her. The boat crashed back down in to the waves, still moving forward at full speed, but the sound of the motor had changed. There was a "sputter" about it, and the high pitched whine which was so clear to the listeners on the shore was now a lower pitched sound, almost "throaty" in it's pitch. And to add to the effect, there was a clear trail of smoke flowing out of the seating area in the boat.

Kesslan, you're up. The boat driver is difficult, at best, to detect at this point. The boat is moving strangely, and there is smoke as well as the tinted glass. Your vision modifier will be -3 (for the driver of the boat). With the scope, your range modifier is -1. You currently have a +1 Take Aim bonus. Your total modifiers are currently -3.
As a note: "Take Aim" may be used in conjunction with the scope to remove the range modifier, though since the range modifier is only -1, it is no different than taking an additional +1. This is a more useful note with targets who are further away.

Kesslan used the feed from the scope's zoom and the smartlink system routed through to his contact lenses to help compensate for the movement of the boat. The whole while he focused on the driver he'd spotted through the clearly armoured windshield, and hoped the APDS rounds he'd loaded in, combined with the rather sizable rifle round would manage to punch through. He calmed his mind, slowly focusing more and more, his finger slowly squeezing down on the trigger and the weapon grip with his hand slowly as he'd learned to do. When he had finally breathed all the way out mere moments remained before the rifle jumped and those nearby would hear the deep, yet muffled 'thump' of the weapon firing

"They know where I am..." She grunted in to her commlink, further encouraging the Magicians around her to move away. She had every reason, and right, to expect a hair of gunfire concentrated on her location in mere moments. She was an obvious target, as there had been a glowing trail of Lightning pointing to her precise location, in case any of the opposition was interested in following it to the source. And shooting the source out.
Ashe's hands started to light up again, showing the blindingly bright concentration of super-heated air molecules which result from the high concentration of electricity nested in between her hands. She held it there but a moment, almost as if she were waiting for the windshield to shatter under Kesslan's attack. Though any magician knows: it takes some time, and incredible concentration, to wrestle the raw form of magic in to the spells that we all are so familiar with.
The windshield on the boat shattered, audibly. The boat was not more than 100 yards away from the beach now. It had been headed straight in, before the team caught it, unaware, with their first volley of attacks. But it was now weaving back and forth violently. It's hard to tell if the cause was the damage caused by the attacks, or if the erratic direction was intentional. Though it was a moot point, as it's success would likely be impressive.

Ashe took another large step away from her team of Magicians before finally releasing the growing concentration of deadly Lighting. A searing arc of brightness flashed between her location and the boat, temporarily blinding anyone looking directly at it. It connected with the boat again, causing it to leap from the waves, again. The smoke trail thickened behind the boat, and the engine sputtered more deeply, but continued to maintain it's droning roar.
Ashe staggered back, 1 step, then a second, before the glowing orb Ashe had invited to join them in this world literally caught her. She sagged backwards, shuddering. Anyone looking closely would see that her eyes were rolling around without any obvious direction. Ashe's eyes finally found a modicum of direction, and she looked up in to the Orb, smiling. There might have been a "Thank you" on her lips, but it didn't manage to slip out.
Before it could, a volley of that "return fire" Ashe had been expected did manage to spew forth from the boat. It was not well aimed, for any number of reasons, but deadly none the less to anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the path of one of them. Ashe, of course, was centered in the concentration of the bullets, and it would be impossible for them to miss hitting her. She fell to the earth, amid the hail of bullets, and the sounds of them penetrating the trees, and hitting the leaves and branches around her. The glowing orb that had been supporting her did something strange. As soon as the bullets started coming towards them, the Orb encompassed Ashe, surrounding her entirely with it's glowing bulk, and bearing her to the earth.

At this point, it is impossible to know what has happened to Ashe.

As sad as it is, that was also the bad-guys' turn...

It isn’t clever, it isn’t innovative, it isn’t even elegant. But it is effective. And that counts, she thought. Lying relatively safely flat behind the sand dune, Specter aimed for the boat again, [color=blue]pulling together energy again to send yet another manaball at the agressors. Pulling and pushing, pressing and squeezing, then releasing it through the astral into the midst of the boat.

Manaball lvl5. Aimed at the people in the boat. Magic5+Sorcery(Group)4=9d (9d6. hits(5)=1)

Drain:

Specter obviously had been too distracted by the bullets flying by. The drain pulled on her soul quite strong. She groaned in pain and closed her eyes for a second to push down the pain.

"My love, Fight for me, take care of the ones trying to harm me and my friends!" Viking was showing to the boat. Valkyrie turned her head toward the boat and left.
Viking turned on his Chameleon suit. and stood ready to help if there was any off chance of magic being thrown at him or his team mates. He was not sure there was magic on the boat but he could not see any single person he could stun with his stun bolt spell and attacking was not his speciality, mind rape is.

The team's attacks had wreaked some considerable level of havoc on the decks of the boat. There was smoke streaming out the back, and the drone of the engine had dropped twice, both as a result (we assume) of the 2 Lightning Bolts sent to the boat. In addition, a shot had been fired from the beach and had shattered the tinted windshield from the boat. It is unclear how much actual damage had been sustained by the boat or it's passengers, as the body of the boat was hiding any evidence that may have helped the team determine that, but the circumstantial evidence seemed to point toward a fairly successful opening volley.

The boat's passengers, however, were not going down without a fight. There was some activity on the boat, though it was unclear what that activity was, or what had caused it. In addition, the boat's passengers had released a return volley of gunfire, peppering the woods where the Lightning Bolt had come from. Fortunately, or unfortunately (depending on perspective), the person firing had fairly good aim, and their return shots at Ashe had been accurate enough not to immediately danger her teammates.

Kesslan, you're up. Start with a Perception test (free action, or in detail if you want to spend the Simple Action on it) to see what you can see.

Kesslan was pretty sure he didn't hit his intended target, not with the boat still moving at any rate. While he mentally toyed with the idea of simply pumping the boat so full of holes it never made it to shore, he took the time to at least quickly sweep his scope along the boat's length looking for an actual proper flesh and blood target he could hurl a nice big chunk of high velocity metal into....

Kesslan took moments to take in what he saw. While some might mistake a bright flame on a boat for a fire, his first thought was that it was probably a fire elemental and dismissed it as a threat he could deal with at this time. That sort of thing would be best left to the spell slingers though certainly if he was able to get in close he could potentially deal with it as well. The other two seemed humanoid, and thus something he could 'reach out and touch' with a high caliber round and so he focused on those. Of those, only one seemed to be the driver which he assumed he'd missed with his initial shot. The other appeared to be the one firing on the shoreline. While to some it may make sense to fire on the one firing on the shore, he knew that if the boat reached shore, they'd have a whole lot more people shooting at them and so went for the driver instead.

Time almost seemed to slow down for a moment as he shifted his crosshairs over where the target's head seemed to be before he pulled the trigger and waited to see if his shot landed true.

Game Stuff:
@Kesslan: you can control LT and Greifer at your leisure. I will post their actions, per your direction, in the next GM update.

The hail of bullets directed at Ashe -or where Ashe had been before she was shot down- continued relatively continuously until the boat lurched sideways, with extreme violence. The boat maintained it's tail of smoke, streaming out from either the recessed passenger seating, or the hidden engine compartment. It was impossible to tell with the naked eye, from the shore-line. It took only moments for the boat to right it's course, but it had lost valuable time and momentum. In the space of, perhaps 3 seconds, the boat had better than halved the distance to the shore. As a result of whatever just caused the course correction, it was now unlikely that they would succeed in finishing the remaining distance in the next 3 seconds. Unlikely, but not impossible.
Presumably, the crew was startled and concerned with whatever it was that had caused the course correction. Or, perhaps, whatever had happened at the same time, but with unrelated consequences (like anything is unrelated in battle?)... Either way, there was now a light peppering of attacking covering a very wide stretch of the waterfront, in some sort of attempt to limit the shooting that the boat seemed to be receiving.
Game Stuff: You ALL are now in a "Threatened Ground" with a threshhold of 3, and a damage code of 5+3=8. If you defeat the threshhold, you take no damage; if you do not defeat the thresshold, you take 8 damage minus your net dodge result. Reminder: Unless you change your stance to "Full Defense," you are only allowed to roll Reaction against ranged attacks. Only in "Full Defense" are you permitted to roll Dodge+Reaction.
@Kesslan: You are "Prone" - therefore are safe, but will be threatened if you move.
@Viking: You have no cover, but you may "Dive for Cover" as your description in changing stances to "Full Defense".
@Darkon: You are "Prone" - therefore are safe, but will be threatened if you move.
@Kesslan: Re-LT and Greifer; They have neither cover nor are prone.

Viking found himself on the ground laying prone. he himself was a bit surprised by the fact but he understood his reaction to a close quarter encounter with a bullet ext to his ear. the thing he could not grasp was how the hell did they find him? He had his chameleon suit on and active, he had not cast anything that might indicate his location. they had no right to know where he is. a quick look around showed Specter I the same position, and Ashe where was Ashe?
>Ashe you OK?< sounded the question over the com.
Only then Viking noticed that the whole beach is under attack, suppressive fire. typical.

When Valkyrie arrived at the boat she noticed several persons and spirits on the vehicle. the spirits seemed to be doing something together, ritual spellcasting or just chatting, a quick look at the astral plane should set her on the right way, at least set her up to the target she would have to attack.

Excrement excrement excrement! Specter pulled in her head to evade the flying bullets, only to look over the edge of the dune once more. ”Damnation that was too close for my comfort,” she muttered in Sperethiel.

Stupid girl. You should put them out of their misery, then they couldn’t shoot at you, the elf chastised herself in her own thoughts. She breathed deeply, smelling the salty sea. Her hands buried themselves into the sand of the beach. But her mind buried even deeper. Into the soul of the island. This place was alive in a way a concrete wasteland could not be. It was buzzing with energy. Another thought crossed Specters mind. [/color=darkred]This place has seen war. Has seen fights. The bunkers say it.[/color] She concentrated and reached out with her mind. There it was. The instinct to defend this island. To fight back the aggressor. She beckoned that energy, calling it forth, focussing it and finally giving it a shape.

Summoning a spirit of beasts. Force 4. Magic 5 + Conjuring 4= 9 dice (9d6. hits(5)=4)

Resistance roll for the spirit force 4 (4d6. hits(5)=2) (2 net successes for Specter)

The ghostly image of a baboon appeared in the air before Specter. Weird enough, it wore a kind of uniform, a steel helmet and a katana at it’s side. Like the Japanese soldier Specter once saw in a flatvid documentary of that world war. She bowed her head in a greeting and sent the instruction: ‘Defend the island and my friends against these attackers on the boat and their spirits.’

The baboon bowed before her, then turned while drawing it’s sword, the scream ‘banzaaaaaaaai’ yelling in Specters mind, deafening her for a second.

With incomming fire pouring in all around them, both Griefer and LT dive for the (relative) safety of the ground before returning fire in turn. Griefer with a full auto spray of his own from his smartgun, and LT with a pair of hasty shots with his revolver in an attempt to keep the other side's heads down as well in a desperate bid to not let the the incoming enemy team a chance to gain the upper ground.

(OOC: Rolls to come later. IC doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment)

Ok, you all know the Monopoly card: "Bank Error in your favor"? Well, it just happened... Darkon: Specter, with her 1 IP, doesn't get to act last turn. But since I'm too late in telling you, there's been a Bank Error in your favor! You spirit has 3 IPs, and gets to act, even though you don't. And since the error is mine, then somehow Divine Intervention allowed you a second action... We're not sure how it happened.


The drek was really hitting the fan now! And smoke seemed to be streaming out the other end!! The boat was nearly at the shore at this point, maintaining it's speed, but neither accelerating nor slowing. If it did not slow soon, it would likely ride several meters up the sand before coming to rest. And chances are: it would stop quite suddenly. Only the spirits would be immune to the affects of that!
"Notice! Protect The Boat AT ALL COSTS!!" Eleanor's voice suddenly blared, at an elevated volume, over the Open Comm-Line. She clearly knew something that the rest of the group did not know, though it was impossible to imagine what it was, since the group was CLEARLY being attacked by that same boat.
The bullets continued to stream shoreward. Though the fire was now coming from two guns, rather than the original one, as the vehicle neared the shore, the boat's manpower has had to split up their efforts to maintain such a wide stream of suppression fire.

Back on Shore
The bright white glow surrounding Ashe does not dissipate when Viking approaches. In fact, it seems to grow stronger. Whether because of the bullets that were now peppering the shore, or because of Viking's presence is impossible to know. Either way, Ashe was unresponsive.

Valkyrie
The Valkyrie was concerned with the Magical "goings-on" of the scene in front of her. Figuring that it would be most effective to "take out the leader" in a Ritual Sorcery situation, the Valkyrie decided to analyze the group in more detail, in an attempt to identify the leader, and perhaps (if it also happened) to recognize what they were doing. Of course, identifying the leader was her primary concern.
As she was paying attention, the Valkyrie realized that her initial assessment was completely false. What, in fact, was going was this: There were two hostile spirits, engaging Ashe's Fire Spirit. They appeared to be winning, though it was difficult to tell, since the three of them were so tightly intertwined. The two opposing spirits were undamaged, while Ashe's Fire Spirit was showing a slight level of damage in it's aura.
As the Valkyrie was studying the scene, another new spirit arrived, preparing to join in the festivities. It was a Beast Spirit, and was prepared to join Ashe's Fire Spirit, and the Valkyrie, in combat against the two opposing spirits.
@Kouryuu: Since you've only used 1 simple action, you could (if you liked) use your second Simple Action to do yet another Assensing in an attempt to garner a better result. I'm not sure what else, of use, a spirit can do with a Simple Action...
@Darkon: Your spirit has arrived. At the start of your next turn, you may utilize it's Free Action to perceive the scene - It doesn't get that for free.

@Kesslan: It's your turn.

"Why?" was Kesslan's instant response over the comlink to Eleanor's sudden and unexpected request. He bristled slightly at the sudden intrusion on the battle. He didn't like these sorts of things, and instinct told him to kill the enemy at all cost when they were invading HIS territory while so heavily armed and obviously expecting a fight. "You'd best explain real fast." the shifter didn't care much for many of metahumanity's rules and regulations. Most didn't really make any sense to him, but he'd at least learned that sometimes, especially when dealing with said metahumans and other such things, it was best to sometimes listen. As a result he held back, momentarily at least though every bit of him wanted nothing more than to keep pulling the trigger until everything aboard that boat was dead and then worry about the rest later.

"Kill the attackers! Protect the boat!" Eleanor responded, again with a high degree of urgency. Clearly she was involved in something else, and unable to give her full attention to a response. But she also clearly thought there was a reason for the boat to be unharmed. And a good one, at that.

Frag, this just made things complicated. Kesslan hated complicated, but then things were rarely simple where metahumans were concerned he'd come to realize ages ago. "Everyone: Cease fire, find cover and then pick your targets. Everyone fire back only at any guaranteed hostiles. If you see them with a gun in hand, waste em. Sureal? They gotta have links, probably hidden. Find em and knock on their door for me, or get me a way in. See if we can get a way to talk to them without giving away where the signal is coming from, or at least get it to jump through one of the drones or something so it takes any counter fire." he paused to let all that sink in as he continued to observe the boat. "Eleanor, I'm gonna need more than that, sooner the better." his tone in regards to everyone was terse and commanding, though the response to Eleanor was softer, indicating he was willing to cut her some slack. He'd realized she wouldn't respond the way she was if there wasn't something important up. Oddly, he'd come to trust the AI, and he'd be the first to admit he had no clue what her world was really like. He'd never dared to delve into the Trix hot, but he'd heard from others that the world was just.. different running hot instead of cold interface the way he did. Besides, he wasn't even sure he could run with a hot mod sim and not come away without getting seriously messed up. The matrix just wasn't designed for his kind.

"On it" Sureal responded immediately. Whatever she had been doing, clearly she'd either been working on this already, or expecting this call.

"Can't... Right... Now..." Was Eleanor's only response. She was obviously in deep with something. Though the meat-bodies could hardly guess what - She operated, literally, in a different world.

The suppression fire continued, spewing forth the deadly hail of lead from the two guns, and two gunners. There was little else happening on the boat, other than the loud rattling of the Light Machine Guns spitting out their deadly load, and the continuous clatter of the spent bullet casings falling to the deck. Whoever was in the boat was keeping their heads low, peaking out just enough to continue to operate the guns.

LT and Greifer
LT, knowing that he wasn't getting a good shot at anything, figured he might have a chance at either taking out the gun itself by hitting the mount, or taking off the arm that was operating it. He took careful aim at the mount, figuring a near-miss would still have a good chance at hitting the arm, and squeezed the trigger, firing off a short 3-bullet burst. LT muttered a prayer under his breath as he shot.

Actions:

Greifer was unsure how to handle Kesslan's orders given their complete lack of targets, and chose to withhold his shot until someone poked their heads up again.

Ashe and the Spirits:
Viking was rewarded, finally, with a deep and uncomfortable sounding groan. Ashe thrashed about a bit, almost convulsively, and started to sit up. The glowing orb, however, seemed to have other ideas, and intensified it's light. Ashe ceased her attempts to sit up immediately, though it is unclear what the Orb was doing, or how.

Meanwhile, at the boat, the Fire Spirit continued it's crusade against the offending invaders. It danced and writhed in it's attempts to win; to defeat it's opponents, slay them, and burn them. Or, at least, that's likely what a human's version of it's current thoughts would be like. The spirit's thoughts were both infinitely more simple, and complicated, than that. And it would be nearly impossible for us to fully understand...

It looks like 2 of the Bad Guys have acted, in continuing their Suppression Fire, and the remainder of the group is withholding their actions. Or, perhaps, out of actions.
Ashe is still down, though her Spirit is fighting valiantly in her stead.

Specter guided her spirit, sending Look around, take in the situation first. Then act. There must be some non combattant. Protect that one, fight the agressors. She hoped the spirit knew how to make a distinction between combattant and innocent.

Seeing as there is no Quickening spell on Spectre Viking decided to change it

Feeling a bit tired Viking felt a wave of mana flowing in Spectres direction with the intention to make him faster. Viking was not yet sure it had worked but he had a good feeling about it. soon they would see the answer.

Suddenly, the world resembled an old analogue recording which batteries died. Everything slowed down, Specter would have sworn the sounds did drop in pitch a bit too. But she also felt the familiar tingle of mana on her skin. Must be a spell or something. Careful, the albino elf girl rose her head to peek at the boat. She switched to astral perception and tried to make out the auras of the attackers.

Assensing roll, can Specter aim at the attackers? Int3+assensing4+actively looking2=9d (9d6. hits(5)=2)

If she succeeded, she would send them a spell of her own.
