- Extraterritoriality has been a long-standing accepted rule with some of the bigger mega-corps of today. Example: Look at what kinds of things Walmart can get away with!
- Micro-drones with kill capacity are already in prototype here in the US, and are being currently tested.
- I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but there seems to be military testing of mind-controlled weaponry (trodenet, anyone?!?) and there is already prototypes of eye-controlled weaponry (Can you say smartlink?!?)!
- Even outside of the military, you can load your phone's output onto your Google Glasses within another year or two (or are these already out?).

These are usually called "Economic Zones." BRICS countries are full of them.

The Google Glasses are still prototypes. But they are letting more and more of their techs wander around in the real world with them.

Last year, Google was approved in CA to let it's autopiloted car drive without a technician there to override it. Remote controlled & auto piloted cars. AT&T here is looking to basically Gridlink your car as well as just let you use one account for your PAN. Combine those two and you have a typical SR car.

The eye controlled "smartlink" is also being used by paraplegics to control their computer systems and life monitoring devices. Stephen Hawking's computer has been doing that for a few years now.
