Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

Is it just me or the forum section is having problems lately to open?

Is just that sometimes while trying to access the forums via the Forum button under the banner, many times it shows the connection broken page. It doesnt always happen, but when it happens, i cannot access the page no matter how many times i try to refresh the page.

Easily, i make 10 attempts and every single one shows the connection broken page, and actually, it doesnt even attempt to load, the moment i press refresh, it shows the page again.

I've not had any problems with the board.

Might be a software problem on your end. Have you been experiencing problems with any other pages you visit?

What sort of browser do you use? And what sort of firewall (if any)?

I use both Firefox 3.5 and Internet Explorer 8.

About firewall, i guess is ESET Smart Security 3.0, wich by the way needs an update, but refuses to enter the internet (what sort of firewall blocks itself, anyway?), one of this days im gonna reinstall it or simply install a different one

Given that you're accessing the same pages with different browsers (If I understood that right), then the problems almost certainly with the firewall. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that particular piece of software.

The best I can do is offer this particular bit of tech-help for opening ports. Ignoring the Windows specific portions, it offers a bit of an overview on how to open a port in general. Your software has a list of the ports its blocking (usually "Security Options" tab or something similarly-named). You can google each port number for a description (so that you're not opening holes in your security, I advise doing this before opening any.) Most of the firewalls that I use (yeah, I'm a bit paranoid about security... but then, I've not had a virus or spyware infection for several years) operate on more or less this same basis.

Hope it helps. Let me know if it doesn't, and I'll see what I can dig up for you.

Still some minor problems, but since i already changed my antivirus and modified some things about my firewall, i doubt is that now. I managed to see my connection interrumpts every time i try to post and edit, or at least some times
