Shadow had come back down from the roof-top, joining the group as they gathered around the corporal for his brief on their resources. Typical for the army, they had enough ammunition and food to throw a Fourth of July party. Shadow's eyebrow climbed up when the man mentioned the coffee. It seemed this group had a bit of a caffeine addiction. He resolved to stay away from the stuff.
He walked with the group up to the second floor. The place had all the amenities, it seemed. He was listening with only half an ear as the corporal went on, however his attention came back to the situation when the corporal received his communique and the building shook.
He watched the others start running up to the roof. From there, they would be able to man the guns and see any enemies. Shadow, however, turned the other way, running back down the stairs. He opens the door on the ground floor, stepping out and looking back and forth, searching for the source of the disturbance.

The building had rocked when a large 2 ton military truck, the rear covered in canvas, had crashed itself through the double doors of the building, luckily they were still open and didn't look to be completely destroyed. Through your comm-channels which had been linked to the CB frequency of the base you all would here... "Corporal, There is no one in the truck, not a soul, and you know the tech's didn't upgrade these to remote piloting either." The only one's capable of understanding why this had happened were Shadow and Samantha, who saw 5 figures creep along the edges of the base, seeing barely a shadow against the darkness as they ran at full speed at the base, dodging the automatic turret fire as they all leapt from the ground up to the roof top of the second story building, an impressive feat compared to anything in the shadowrunners world. Each one would brandish either an Ares Predator, or a katana standing in a fighting stance.

Shadow's eyes narrowed as he saw the invaders advance like shadows across across the compound, and leap to the roof of the building. Cursing, he cast about for a way to gain access to the roof and the enemies. His eyes alighted on his bike, just a few yards away. One corner of his lips quirked up, and he sent a command via his commlink, turning the Mirage on. He jumped on the bike, and pulled his rope from the bag on the bike. He had one end tied in a noose-knot, so that it could be tied off quickly if the situation needed it. Pulling some slack through the knot, he widened the circle until it was roughly three feet in diameter. Looking up at the roof, he spied one of the invaders standing next to one of the turrets. He revved the bike and sped towards that corner of the building, gunning the engine for every ounce of speed he could.

Twirling the rope above his head he aimed for the man, and let it fly just before he rounded the corner of the building.

Rope Toss: To Hit:

The rope lands across the man's shoulders, and as Shadow powered around the corner of the building, the trailing edge of the rope was pulled along the roof's ledge until it snagged on the turret's base. Shadow held tight to the rope as it jerked in his grasp, pulling him off his bike. The momentum of his travel caused him to swing up along the building. As he soared up above the edge of the roof, he let go of the rope and landed in a crouch on the ledge's surface. Once the tension had been let loose from the rope, it went slack, and the invader on its other end found the only thing holding him to the roof gone. He tumbled over the edge into the dark of the night. A moment later a meaty thump was heard as he hit the ground.

Hasty new she was not built for this type of mission but she could not do Nothing. She saw her opportunity when Shadow took his action. Piggy backing off his surprise, and the fact that she was nearly invisible. She flew around to the blind side of the ninja. If in fact that's what they were. And shoot at two of them (ok lets see if i do this right there's two targets so) (i don't know how surprise works if i get it or not going to have to read that but that's the goal)

the first ninja must have heard her coming she thought as he was no longer in the destination of the arrow when it arrived.(and omg phantom you have control of my glitch) (as a side note this is my first glitch feels good to finally get it over with)

Derish grits her teeth in determination. She was used to one on one. This general melee... well, all she could do was all she could do. Spinning like a top, she plumeted towards one of the new comers in the dive-bombing attack which gave her her name, a whirling of spinning mono-wire.

As soon as the attack squad had leaped to the roof top, they had encountered unexpected resistance, either no one was on overwatch, or our heroes had some pretty good luck going, but they ran into a wall of bullets, arrows, and monowire as soon as they arrived. The turrets couldn't spin enough to put bullets in the air which left the team essentially by themselves to react.

Dervish had proven herself a spinning whell of blood and mayhem as one of her whips took of the left arm of the attacker that was second from the left. The wire had wrapped around the persons flesh and ate right through the armor that he wore, obviously not enough to protect himself from the surprisingly agile fighter's attacks. A muffled scream could be heard as he dropped his sword and clutched the stump that used to be his arm.

Shadow had proven his eastern and western roots proud by employing all the traits of a ninja, stealth and surprise, and the bravado of any american cowboy from legend. His mechanized war horse and lasso carried him up to the roof as it brought a turret down to the ground, crushing the attacker that was formerly on the left side with a wet sticky sounding thud. this left both Dervish and Shadow standing side by side next to the disarmed foe, with the other three still poised for combat.

Hasty had pulled her bow back and knocked two arrows as she aimed for the middle and second right attackers praying back to the watchers on Eire that she'd be able to help out, she was deeply out of her usually quiet element. ((Ghost: you forgot to include your smartgun (yes they work on bows as well.). either way, i'll re roll for you.))

With a colorful use of curse words that translated to them doing something with a dog that was anatomically impossible, Hasted landed her two arrows true and saw them stick cleanly out of the torso's of the two ninja's.

The Attack Sqaud now fully aware of the threats that was left to them had time to act. With only three of their members able to attack all three pull Ares 4 Predator's from hip holsters and fire them all straight at the one target; Hasty

The bullets flying off course as they all miss horribly left the only remaining innocent on the roof to break her innocence and pour lead into the bowels of the attacker in the middle. The bullets slammed through what the torso and the impared armor of the Ninja, he was unable to dodge, the arrow taking a little wind out of him as he fell to the ground several stories below, a second thud being heard this evening.

((Alright folks this is pass 2, the same initiatives go for this round. And no messy surprise attacks to get in our way. Going from right to left we have the first ninja dead, the second ninja is disarmed and unable to attack at the moment, the third is dead, the 4th is wounded, the fifth is just peachy, and moderatly upset. Dervish continues to spin across the rooftop and towards the wounded guard, her mono-whip weaving a deadly net. She connects solidly, the monofilitment cyclone slicing the injured man into ribbons.

As the invader next to Shadow tried unsuccessfully to fend off the whirlwind of mono-filament death that was Dervish, the black-clad man took advantage of the distraction. He reached around to his back, his right hand sliding up under his coat at the same time as his left hand raised up to point at the man who had been wounded by Hasty.

He pulled the sword from its sheath and sliced up in a diagonal slash at the man as he backed away from Dervish's attack. At the same time, an unusual gun slid out of its sheath on his forearm at a mental command to be caught in his hand as it leveled at the second assailant. An Ares Predator, but one with an unusual attachment. A blade was affixed to the bottom of the weapon, curving up from the base of the grip to extend up in a crescent to the base of the barrel, from which a point protruded a few inches. The gun barked, sending a slug at the man as the sword arced towards the other.

As the gun discharged, its victim was already moving, twisting away and trying to avoid the shot. He was too slow, and the bullet caught him just left of his torso's center-line, the explosive ammo blowing chunks of armor and bloody tissue away. The man fell back with a gurgling scream, landing hard on the ground as his last breaths pushed bloody foam out of the newly excavated hole in his chest.
The other invader didn't fair any better, and the katana arced up, cutting through his armor and cleaving through him, cutting him from the base of his ribs to his spine before pulling free in a shower of blood. The man crumpled, falling into a spreading pool of red. With a flick of his wrist, Shadow brought his blade down sharply, shedding the viscous fluid on the sword in a spray that painted the face of the dead man with his own lost blood.

"Holy...." Samantha was awestruck for a moment watching what appeared to be modern day ninjas leaping from ground level to the roof. But when she saw the weapons, she brought up her Praetor and fired 2 short bursts into the group, aiming for the nearest 'ninja.'

Hasty feeling the momentum from her first attacks and the lack of defense from the aggressors. Was now understanding she might have something to offer after all. Darting around in chaotic patterns. She stopped to take a shot at the one who had not yet been damaged! before he had a chance to attack her new found companions. She took a breath aimed and let fly an explosive tip arrow at her newest target!

Hearing the twang of the deadly invisible bow once more. The fifth attacker tries to make himself a moving target. But to no avail the explosive tip arrow finds its way home, and explodes on impact jerking the man losing armor and flesh from the assailant. Aaaagggrrah! was all he could scream. Hasty smiled and then continued her darting pattern leaving the rest up to her comrades.

In only a matter of seconds the team had nearly demolished the invading team who had seemed so intent on infiltrating the base, of the five person team, 4 had died in only a matter of 2 seconds, and the last one remaining was gravely injured, as any good runner knows, never get caught. He twisted and started to run back for the edge of the building until...

Dervish touches down lighty on the roof, her whip at the ready. "Oh no you don't." With a snap, she puts her whip to a much more traditional use, sending it cracking out through the air to wrap twice around the last man's neck. A circle of blood appears instantly, marking the line of mono-filiment, and the pixie gives her wrist the slightest of twitches, digging it ever so slightly deeper and making it clear that any suddent movement on his part (or a small jerk on hers) means the head's coming off. "Now, drop the weapons, sit, and be good. We have a few questions."

Hasty is partially distracted buy her comrades melee prowess never having seen quite such a blood bath in her days. she decides to join in the carnage but she knew her melee was off compared to the others so she decided to push this ninja and test his inner metal it had been a while since she'd pushed anyone but she aimed to test herself as well she concentrated the way they taught her at the institute and then she released her psychic powers

needless to say that the Ninja begins to see the futility of fighting any further and he thinks the only way out is to eat his heavy pistol and pull the trigger. (Ooc lol im so bad assuming he dose not resist)

Shadow sneers at the back of the retreating enemy, his eyes burning. The action was that of a coward, which went against the code of Bushido. Further, the action was foolish and futile, which went against common sense. Shadow believed in Bushido, but he also believed in fighting smart. He wouldn't deny an honorable enemy an honorable end, but neither would he give up an advantage in a battle to the death. But he certainly wouldn't run like a yellow cur rather than meet his end with head held high and his weapons in his hands. The sight of the last invader left standing doing so now was enough to turn his stomach.
Shadow thrust his katana into the ground, and let the sliding arm of his concealed holster slide down and take Kataki back into its embrace. Bursting into motion, he sprinted towards the running enemy... holding his arms back and out, shrugging his long coat off and letting it slide into his hands as he did so. Beneath it he wore only a his sleeveless black shirt, and his bare arms now revealed a set of holsters, which held his bladed guns.
Shadow was running full-out, and as he came within reach of the invader, he jumped up, leaping at the man.

The man looked back over his shoulder just in time to see the dark form of the runner descending down on him, the gibbous Moon silhouetting Shadow's dark form in the man's eyes. Shadow came down hard, his knees slamming into the man's shoulders, and knocking him off-balance. The invader started to fall forward, arms flailing, as shadow dropped from the man's back to land nimbly on his feet.

Finishing Move (Subdue):

As the man was falling, Shadow's hands struck out, his coat held between them by its sleeves, and caught one of the man's hands. He spun around, binding the hand up in one of his coat's sleeves as he did so. He tugged on the appendage, and brought the man twisting back around towards him... and bringing the invader's other arm within reach. He struck out with his free hand, his forearm moving in a circular motion as he managed to entwine the other sleeve of his coat.
This done, he again spun around the man, raising his hands so that the hapless invader's arms were forced above his head as Shadow positioned himself around the man's back again. Shadow struck out with one foot, kicking hard with his inseam against the man's knee, buckling it and sending the man to his knees. That done, the man in black took the upraised leg and thrust his knee into his enemy's back, stepping forward as he did so. The combination pushed the invader down onto his face, Shadow resting on one knee on top of the man, as he twisted his coat's sleeves together, binding the man's hands.

((We are waiting on Nathanius, I'll deliver my judgement in 24 hours regardless.))

(Sorry for holding us up, have been unsure of what a smuggler/rigger could do to keep someone from leaping off a building to their impending death)

Samantha watched in slow motion brought on by the utter disbelief of what she had seen. In just a few short seconds, she had seen men leap two stories onto the roof of a building, and then be utterly mowed down by the team she now found herself a part of. As she lowered the still smoking barrel of her Praetor sub machine gun, the last of the ninjas made an inconcievable run for the edge of the building. Gotta stop him, need to question em, what are we up against here? the thoughts flooded her mind faster than she even knew possible. By the time the thoughts were forming, she was already moving. STOP HIM flooding her mind screaming over all other ideas, she found herself running full tilt at the injured enemy.

It felt like she was trying to sprint though molasses, her legs not going as quickly as she wanted them to. Remembering briefly the reason she felt so much more at home inside a vehicle. That's it, the Rover! her mind drew a mental map of where she had parked it. Connecting through her control rig was nearly instantaneous. Her boots hammered along the rooftop at the ninja, the sheer drop of the building to her right, she ran a direct intercept course for the enemy.

Before he could reach the edge and jump, she didn't know if it was suicidal thoughts that drove the man, or if he was truly capable of getting away, he did after all jump two stories just seconds ago. No matter, she thought, and activated the MP LMP on the rover, spraying a quick burst to chip at the edge of the roof in front of the man's feet, hoping that it would at least stun him long enough for her to reach him.

His gait faltered for a split second, but that was enough, she was on him, in a diving tackle. No thoughts of wrestling, or subduing him, only her mind still screaming STOP HIM!. The rest of the team could help once he was down.

((Alright folks, the contest truly was to see what you could do to maximize options, and the overall winner of this is Shadow, here's why.))


As the ninja decided to try to leap down the 2 story building, a feat which he had done in reverse not to long ago, an automatic machine gun peppered the concrete below his footing and caused him to falter in his step, a bullet snapping into his shin and splintering the bone, the bullet exiting the back of his calf and further exploring parts unknown.

At the same moment an blank look crosses the man's eyes as he would completly shut down in mid stride, seemingly falling over the side of the building that was cut away by Samantha's bullet's.

The dive from Samantha was not necessary as she was overtaken in stride by Shadow's daring leap, hog tying the wounded man in his jacket as the others would watch him save their only source of information on the attack, although he was wounded, he would live if they got him attention.

((Sorry folks, but Shadow was the only one who had a definite chance of leaving the ninja alive and unharmed for questioning, this is not a punishment, but a challenge for you all to push your characters to their fullest potential. As a reward for taking on the group of five ninja's, you all receive 7 karma, and as a reward for the contest, Hawk recieves an additional 3 karma for a grand total of ten. For now, post what you're doing with your karma in your next post please, You've got 4 dead bodies, a wounded captive who is bleeding profusly, and a van keeping your front doors open, along with 1 corner turret down, combat's over for now folks.))

Dervish looks down on the captive with disgust and gives him a kick (which given her size doesn't do much). Turning, she looks out over the eventing. "Guys, I'm going to go fly about, make sure he doesn't have any more friends or suprises hiding out there." With that, the pixie cloaks herself in her magic as she vanishes out into the night. She flies out from the building about 50 yards and circles it, looking carefully for anything out of place. The she repeats the loop at 100 yards, 150, and 200 before returning to the building.

Shadow held his grip tight on his coat, the man beneath him squirming a bit. Looking the man over, he takes note of the man's wound. He twists his left hand into his jacket, locking the garment both around his and the invader's wrists. Sliding off the man's back, he grabs the man by his belt and lifts up, straining under the man's weight.

(OOC: Phantom, let me know if you need a strength check here.)

He heads over towards the hatch and ladder descending to the second level of the building. He pauses at the hatchway and looks over towards the group, and jerks his head towards the hatch. Getting the man down by himself would be next to impossible.
