Butterfly Kisses Ad

Heavy rain poured down out of the dull gray sky, drenching the street of Seattle, and all those unlucky enough to be out on them. Looking out the window of the Stuffer Shack, where you'd stopped to get some soycaff when the rain had started, you watch the various wage-slaves out on the street as they trudge from point A to point B. Going to work, coming from work, going home, coming home. It's hard to imagine that so many people's lives could be summed up in a few, unremarkable lines.
Not so for you. As a Shadowrunner, your life was anything but common.

A flashing light pops up in the corner of your vision, signaling a new message in your inbox. You note that it's from your fixer, and is tagged "Work." Selecting the icon, you open the file and read the contents.

Someone's put a call in through channels. Word is they're looking for professionals for some out-of-town job, but they're not saying what. Sounds a bit dodgy, but the source is supposedly reputable. Dunno if you'd be interested, but I figured I'd let you know about it. Been awhile since your last run, right?

That was one of the things about not leading a common life like the wage-slaves. Work was something you had to go out and find. And not all jobs were equal. Sometimes taking a job meant putting yourself in a situation where the odds of survival approached nil. Sometimes it meant a situation where death was one of thefavorable outcomes. Sometimes these were the best jobs available.
And sometimes it was a choice between taking such a job and starving.
You pay for your Soycaff, and head out into the rain. After a few moments you duck under a convenient entrance-way and type off a quick message to your fixer. A few moments later, you receive your reply.

The meet's at the Black Dog, in Downtown. Be there at 11, on Tuesday.

Closing the message, you walk back out into the pouring rain, coming down on common and uncommon alike.

Butterfly Kisses is restarting. I'm looking for 3-4 runners to fill out a well-rounded team. Standard 400 BP build.

Butterfly Kisses is a campaign, centered around a single run. Odds are that accomplishing the core mission will not be straight-forward, however. I'm looking for players who can role-play well, and have a good idea of what it takes to actually run the shadows in the Sixth World. I need players who are dedicated most of all to seeing the run through to the end.

Might I take up a spot as a Dronomancer?

A word of caution: Tech heavy characters will find themselves at a disadvantage in some parts of the run.

If folk want, I've been playing around with the character build a little and I could actually rework the character to specialize him a little more into the stereotypical heavy weapon wielding troll to give him a slightly more defined role in the group.

The 3 runners from my original run-through of BK are all onboard. Kesslan, you're free to work up Taurus however you feel is best. I just need all character finalized by the time I start the game. I will give 2-3 days warning before it goes up on the boards.

With respect to T-Hawk and his final say on the subject:

We have the Elf Combat Mage and the Troll "Enforcer" already covered. Also, with the Elf Combat Mage, we have a Human Aspected Sorcerer (written below as a Mystic Adept). T will have to let you know if the Shaman will be interesting enough to him, but my guess is that the magician side is well enough covered to satisfy him. My suggestion would be to take a look at the Weap. Spec./ Marksman character. It looks like that is an available opening.
All that, however, is based on my understanding of the characters already. T DID say that "an exceptional character applying for an occupied role may be considered."

I'll put together a roguish weapons specialist. Wasn't planning on munchkin-ing the build as I think PbP is mostly about RP anyway but I'll try to have something done by mid-day tomorrow... Who knows, maybe even tonight.

Gala's got it read exactly right. The weapons specialist probably won't be able to do anything that our assassin or sammy can't already, but go ahead and write him up. I'll look him over, and we'll see about getting a spot for him. No promises though.

Run will go up tomorrow around 8PM, EST.

I've just posted the OOC page for the run. Every player need to read it and post the necessary info I've requested there before the run begins tonight. It's a bit of a read, but be certain not to skim through it: it's all stuff that's really important to know before you start.

T your posts are fun to read dude no problem here.

I've got no issue simply bowing out, after all a fixer only needs so many contacts to fill specific roles. If anything changes or a desired role opens up let me know.
