He enjoys the smell of flowers and constantly wears "flowery" cologne. He also enjoys wearing his apron from the store that has a picture of a rose on it when he is off the cloak. Background
Takumi was born on the streets of Seattle. Abandoned at the age of 5, without a person to watch out for him, he quickly adapted to the streets. There he learned that the law isn't on the side of the person without the Creds. As such, he had to fight to survive while dodging the cops just to get some food. At the age of 8, he met up with the a local gang. After fighting off five people he was finally overpowered and brought down. The gang leader, Marcus Althos, decided that for a troll such as himself, it would be best for him to become their "little" enforcer. After a short "talk," Takumi was inducted into the gang. A year later, at the age of 9, the gang all got together and got enough creds, through "dubious means," to enlist him is different marital arts instructions so he can protect them, while they protect him. During the first year of his training he discovered an abandoned elf baby in a dumpster. Knowing how difficult it is to be on the streets alone, he took her in and raised her as his own sister and called her Rose Eiichi. He wanted her to be associated with something beautiful as she was found in something disgusting. This proved to be extremely difficult for him as Rose was extremely weak. The time in the dumpster had taken a toll on her body (weak immune system, infirm). It was at this time he decided that getting a job would be the best decision to help Rose. While looking for a legitimate job, it was extremely difficult because nobody would want a "Big Dumb Troll." He finally found a place he could work part time after weeks of looking. It was a flower shop that needed some help both in the shop and out of the shop. When the owner saw that Takumi was looking for a job, the flower shop was being accosted by a rival gang of Takumi's. Within a short time, Takumi was able to not only secure his job, but also remove a rival gang from the street (two birds with one stone). During the next two years (age 11), he awakened as an adept. He decided, that since in the streets, Might Makes Right, he decided to follow the path of the Warrior's Way. He trained hard to ensure that he would be able to protect not only his gang, but also his sister. Four years later, age 15, Rose became extremely ill. During this time a gang war started. Takumi decided to stay with Rose while she was severely ill instead of going to help his gang with the war. It was that decision that Takumi is constantly concerned about. When Rose got better, Takumi went to see the gang to apologize for not being about to help, however he could not find anybody. Going to the last place that he knew they where, he found the entire gang he was with was slaughtered. Dropping to his knees he felt lost and alone without his friends ... without his family. He went back to his place and saw Rose sleeping, still recovering from her illness. With tears in his eyes he could only cry silently, hoping to not wake her up. The next 4 years went by without a hassle. Takumi, while working at the flower shop was informed to make a delivery. When he reached the drop off location, it was in a parking garage. There he met Murphy. Murphy, knowing the situation that Takumi was in, as well as the abilities he had, offered him a job. It was mostly gang related jobs, however Takumi was able to make some yen to try to help out his ailing sister, who was now 10 years old. During the first year Takumi was working with Murphy, one of Murphy's runners decided that it would be better for him to sell off the item that he acquired rather than turn it in to Mr. Johnson. This caused Mr. Johnson to be extremely angry. He took Murphy's family and forced Murphy to come out. Mr. Johnson gave Murphy two days to get his item back. Murphy agreed and turned to Takumi. Within one day, Takumi found and recovered the item and Murphy and his family were safe. This deed caused a great friendship between the two, but severely diminished Murphy's connections. Takumi is now 20 and Rose is 11. He still works for the flower shop he saved. All while waiting for a call from his fixer, Murphy, to get some jobs.

His father was abusive and his mother was a "woman for hire."

4. Has the character begun his/her own family?
Kinda. He has unofficial adopted an Elf baby as his sister.

5. Where or how was the character educated?
He learned on his own because he needed to learn how to teach his sister.

6. Has the character ever done anything else for a living?
Martial has worked in a Flower Shop

7. What are the character's spiritual and philosophical beliefs? (Religion, political views, etc.)
Protect those that are weaker than you.

8. Describe the character's moral code. Include how mercenary he/she is, whether or not he’ll/she'll kill innocents, etc.
Never kill an Innocent. Try to stay on the right side of the law as best you can. Protect those that need protecting.

9. What are the character's goals?
To get his adopted sister into a good safe place and undergo gene-therapy to "cure" her of her illness.

10. Why does the character run the shadows? (Why does he/she run the shadows still, rather than getting a "real" job?)
Running the shadows is the quickest way to make money.

11. What kind of personality does your character have? This should not necessarily be obviously stated in the background, as it is more important for actually playing the character, but it may color or add mood to the history.
He helps those that need help. A Good Samaritan type.

12. What special qualities does the character possess? This does not refer to skills, but rather to other things, such as how he/she gets along with people, whether he/she plans ahead, etc.
Very good going guy that tries to help where needed. People around his area know him because he contributes to helping those around him, after his sister of course.

13. Are there certain things that the character can't or won't do? Why?
Martial will not purposely sacrifice anybody for any reason. If an innocent get caught in the line of fire, he will divert all attention to try to protect that innocent.

14. What things, people, or ideas does the character hate?
Racism, Rich People who look down on lower class people, Doctors who require money before helping people.

15. What things people, or ideas does the character love?
Flowers, People who help others, Free Clinics

Gang Member who enforced the gangs rules around the area.

Left the Gang because the gang was killed. Still working at the Flower Shop.

Because his gang was killed, he needed a means to gather more money since there was no money coming from the gang anymore.

20. How did your character come to know his/her contacts? Contacts are an important part of Shadowrun; decide how and why you know them.
Murphy found "Martial" and decided that it would be in his best interest to get "Martial" to assist him with several jobs. When one job when south, it was "Martial" that got Murphy out of the jam he was in.

22. Does the character have a SIN? Does the character actually use it? Or is the character one of the SINless masses? This may be affected by the character's previous employment.
Yes. He has a legitimate job at a Flower Shop.

23. Is the character a full-time shadowrunner? Or does the character lead a Batman-like double existence?
His sister does not know that he is a Shadowrunner. Whenever she asks him about the money he brings home, or the medicine he acquires, he says that it was a gift from people that he helped.

Any Group or Organizations that helps people.

Social Services Groups.
DocWagon, because when Rose was little she became extremely ill. He rushed her to the nearest medical facility which was a DocWagon hospital. They refused to admit her because she didn't have a SIN at the time and he didn't have the Creds. Ever since then he has hated DocWagon. He will never let any current member of DocWagon look after his injuries.

Any Group or Organizations that helps people.

A bracelet, that looks like a rosary, that his sister made for him when she was little. He keeps it on him at all times.

Father is currently in prison for armed robbery and assault.
Mother is currently on the streets trying to find a way to get another fix.

Kristine - Street advocate. Left when she found out that Takumi was getting money through running the shadows.
Destiny - "Woman of Leisure." Takumi broke up with her when she tried to sell Rose to score a fix.

Active and compassionate.

Apartment Complex at 1600 S. Main Street, Seattle, WA

Goes into a rage when an innocent is hurt. Especially if it is a little girl. Will always help people on the streets as best he can. Will sometimes go for days without food, if it means that his sister can get a good meal for each of those days.

The assignment first. Everything else last.

8. Describe the character's moral code. Include how mercenary he/she is, whether or not he’ll/she'll kill innocents, etc.
Spare innocents whenever possible, however if an innocent is the only means to complete the assignment, try to keep casualties to a minimum. The more innocent casualties there are the greater the risk to the organization.

9. What are the character's goals?
To find the lab he was created in, and bomb it to the ground after getting the genetic information on who his parents are.

10. Why does the character run the shadows? (Why does he/she run the shadows still, rather than getting a "real" job?)
Running in the shadows to acquire contact will enable Mario to get closer to his goal of knowing the location of the genetics lab he was created in.

11. What kind of personality does your character have? This should not necessarily be obviously stated in the background, as it is more important for actually playing the character, but it may color or add mood to the history.
Militaristic mindset. If the assignment calls for it, complete at all costs. He is quiet and reserved. He will preform almost any task, provided the pay is correct. Trustworthy. If he makes an arrangement with a Mr. Johnson, regardless of how much the item he acquired is worth vs how much he is being paid, he will turn it over the the client.

12. What special qualities does the character possess? This does not refer to skills, but rather to other things, such as how he/she gets along with people, whether he/she plans ahead, etc.
He isn't very outgoing, but he does plan ahead. He never jumps into a run without a plan. He tries hard to keep his teammates out of trouble while in a run.

13. Are there certain things that the character can't or won't do? Why?
He can't leave a man behind. During his training this was drilled into his head. Everybody goes home, or nobody goes home.

14. What things, people, or ideas does the character hate?
Mario hates pacifists. This world was created on war, as such, people that try to run away from war are just running away from life.

Gunpower, Explosives, and Blood Rain

Lieutenant Colonel Mario O'Reilly, E.O.D (Explosive Ordinance Disposal). A.K.A. "Kilo", A.K.A. "Fragger," A.K.A "Jim Bean."

Military Black Op Jobs

18. Decide why your character left his/her old job, if he/she had one. (Also important)
During a Black Op Mission, his team was given bad information on purpose because Captain Gaea was leaking information to a second source without the teams knowledge. The team was trapped. A rocket was fired and eliminated the entire team with the exception of Mario. They all are currently stated as deceased. With the help of a friend (hacker), all information that becomes listed with Mario's information is erased within 24hrs.

19. Come up with a reason for why the character became a shadowrunner. (This very often will tie in with #22. This is not the same as #10, but rather why he/she started running the shadows originally. What led him/her to it?)
As he as registered as deceased, this is the only way to get by.

20. How did your character come to know his/her contacts? Contacts are an important part of Shadowrun; decide how and why you know them.
Kid was a gun runner for the Yakuza, however a deal with the Triad went horrible wrong. Kid was strapped to a pressure sensor and a one legged chair. If the chair moved off the pressure sensor, it would detonate and he would go with it. Fortunately, Mario was squatting above the factory where the deal was being held. After they left, Mario disarmed the explosive and since then, Kid has always has Mario's back.
Blaze removed himself from Evo and is running from them also. He was the information expert for their team, however after the intel he got from command was doctored purposely, he went underground and has been assisting Mario by removing his presence as best he can. He was also a child that was genetically created and raised.
Bubba was introduced to Mario through Kid. Bubba doesn't really know Mario as they have only been working together for a very short time, however he trusts Kid's judgment.

22. Does the character have a SIN? Does the character actually use it? Or is the character one of the SINless masses? This may be affected by the character's previous employment.
Mario does not have a SIN as it was deactivated on his "death."

23. Is the character a full-time shadowrunner? Or does the character lead a Batman-like double existence?
Full Time Shadowrunner. His other job is to help with the transportation of goods that Kid sets up by ensuring that if anything goes wrong, nobody get the goods.

24. Which person(s) or group(s) does your character love the most (this may refer to ideologies rather than individuals or groups. This applies to the next questions through #28 as well).
Mario loves people who don't mind getting their hands dirty to try to make the world a better place. Peace talks only work if both sides truly want peace, which is seldom the case. Peace through superiority is generally the only thing people truly understand.

25. Which person(s) or group(s) does your character hate the most?
As question 14, Mario hates pacifists. He also hates Racist Organizations as all people can contribute to the downfall of an economy.

26. Which person(s) or group(s) does your character respect the most?
Mr. Johnsons. People willing to pay to get results, provided that the results don't cause wide spread chaos or panic.

Risk life and limb to save his comrades

None. Religion is for people who want to fear something but don't want to know why or who.

The Dog Tags of his comrades that have died. As a form of respect to always remember what happened and to never let it happen again.

Trying to find them

36. If the character's family is still alive, what do they do, and where do they live?
He was spliced from different genes, as such he has multiple genetic parents. Not just two.

37. Where did the character learn his/her Skills? Be as complete as possible.
He learned his skills from the military which he was raised in. All the children were taught a certain craft. His was demolitions. He learned how to rig explosives to almost any device and how to disarm said explosives. If it could be attached to something, he was taught who to attach it.

38. List any past serious relationships that your character has had, and give a brief overview of the relationship.
Lieutenant Jean "Clover" Richmond was his serious love prior to her death during the failed mission that caused her and his colleges death. Her motto was "shoot first and let intelligence sort them out later." She was able to corral people to where they needed to be for the charges that Mario set to deal the most damage.

39. Beyond your character's relationship with family or lovers, how would you describe his/her social life?
As of now, non-existent.

40. Where does your character live? Why does he/she live there? (I'd like a physical address, including Neighborhood, City & State. Google maps is a good way to get this.)
Storage building at 2428 11th Avenue South, Seattle, WA by the docks. He pays the night watchman to allow him to say there. Its safe because its away from people and he can create his explosives in peace.

41. Does your character have any quirks or idiosyncrasies?
Refers to people in superior positions as "Sir" or "Ma'am." Those that he sees as equals he refers to as "Soldier." Those that he sees as worthless or undependable he refers to as "Maggots."

42. Does your character have any enemies? (Include anything from an arch nemesis who's sworn to kill you and all you hold dear to a bartender who holds a grudge for that time you slipped out on the tab.)
