Cleveland's Diary, Day 1
In the movies, the hero always has a diary, so here's mine. Hero? Heh. Survivor is more like it. It's been a week since the superzombies showed up. The news said there was a new SURGE epidemic that caused 'em all to express at the same time; I don't know about that. All I know is that everyone I knew before is either dead or has turned into a fraggin' monster.

When things started getting weird, I took all my money out of the bank and went on a shopping spree at the local Army surplus store. (Negative Quality: Paranoia) I had a pretty good idea of what was going to happen; I've seen enough apocalypse movies to know how it was going to go down. (Knowledge Skill: Apocalypse Trivia 4, Knowledge Skill: Zombie Trivia 4). I picked up a generator at the hardware store and stocked up on water and food. Oh, I also moved to the second floor and barricaded the stairway with plywood, desks and barbed wire. Thankfully, I've only had to fend off two attacks so far.

Things started going really downhill a couple days later, when my boss, roommate and best friend Derek staggered into my house infected. He'd hired me 'cause I was good around his auto repair shop (Mechanics Skill Group 2, Positive Quality: Juryrigger), and then bought me my cyber for a bonus a couple years ago (Skillwires 2, Datajack). He got stuck in the barbed wire trap, and I capped him with a shotgun blast to the head. Thankfully, he stayed down.

I rigged up an FM transmitter today. I'm going to have to go out for food in about a week, and I'd rather have someone to back me up. But it's gotta be the right someone - no goofing around for me.

And maybe this whole thing isn't so bad. I never fit in after I goblinized, and I feel like I've been studying my whole life for this. I've got provisions, skills and knowledge. Now I've just got to survive.

Pure material wealth. To have all the things he's seen the bigshots have.

Wary. Eyes are always moving, assessing how a situation can be turned to his favor. Walks with purpose. Doesn't speak much, doesn't boast. Keeps his own counsel. Can appear stand-offish because of this. Physically OK looking, but personality causes low charisma. Hair is in corn rows; beard is held forked by two rubber bands.

Easiest way to make a lot of money that he knows of.

Everything about Johnny Stomp screams "Don't mess with me." From the stark white, foot-tall mohawk to his bodybuilder physique to the massive customized steel mace at his hip to his armored jacket with the sleeves ripped off, his image is built entirely on intimidation. He oozes self-confidence - there's nothing he's met that he can't beat into submission.

A natural transition from numbers-running and enforcement.
