On the job: OOC Chat

Once I'm ready to start the game up again, this is where the OOC chat will take place.

Just as a note, securetech PPP is not available for this scenario, neither are concussion grenades. Only the things listed in the initial gear post are available at this time (Comlinks are the sole exception to this, you are assumed to always have a comlink, be it your personal one or one built into your suit)

As another note, the OOC thread is now unlocked. Sorry bout that folks, forgot to do that when the game went live.

Right...can i keep those rolls for future attemps then? Since i didint hack anything after all..and my stealth program is still running anyways

Exactly, fortunatly we have drywalls here. So imagen the faces of the runners, wenn a 2,5m+ Troll come through the wall of the second(!) floor.

Yes. Right now you just need more scan rolls. It's an extended test and you need a bare minimum of 15 hits to find even a disposable comlink I hidden mode when you only know the general area.

Ahh, man you can tell i'm rusty with Jammer rules. It's hardware vs hardware ratings (Or ECCM Software raiting vs jammer hardware) and which ever has the highest rating wins. So your just plain ol jammed to hell right now unless you want to try and hunt down the physical jammers and disable them.

Jammers come in two varieties: area jammers 9jamming all wireless comms in range) and spot jammers (narrow angle jamming of specific frequencies). Initiating jamming is a Complex Action. Any device with a Signal + ECCM rating less than the jamming device’s Signal rating is overwhelmed.

Jamming on the fly is a Complex Action and requires some
device with a Signal rating (such as a commlink, radio, or drone)
to act as an impromptu jammer. Make an Opposed Test between
the rigger’s Electronic Warfare skill + Signal rating and the target’s
Electronic Warfare + Signal rating; the target adds the rating of any
ECCM program she has running to her dice pool for the test. If
the Opposed Test is successful, the signal is jammed; otherwise it is
unaffected. Jamming on the fly is area jamming and affects a spherical

every five meters from the centre.
A device being used as an impromptu jammer cannot use its
wireless capability for anything else. A commlink, for example,

Jammers actually cap out at 10 by default unless it's milspec.

Also, though I missed it when checking out your char you cant legitimately start out of CG with a comlink rated higher than R5 unless your working on modified availability rules (Which we are not). That said it was something I overlooked, in part because that was a change that came along under SR4A and did not exist under SR4 so I let it slide as it was an error I also made as a GM.

It also means I don't exactly feel bad about throwing you up against milspec gear when your on the homeground of a company owned by a weapons megacorp.

Well maybe you guys should think twice about cheating in a scenario where your being closely monitored.

cheating? you mean i shouldnt be using my hacking on the field at all?..im trying to find the shadow runners not hack the entire complexe...the got comlinks too right?...also that jammer would mean neither side has any comlink support image link,smartlink or radio com...well on our side anyways
