Who said running the shadows was easy? Dodging bullets, swords, spirits, and spells just to name a few. Elves, Dwarves, Trolls, even the occasional Dragon can make any Shadowrun go bad.

If you wanted to make a big two-legged hyena person, without having to rely on cybernetics to get the traits, how would you go about it? I think it would be a good idea to make it an orc metavariant, but I don't have the Runner's Companion to refer to at the moment. Any tips?

Yeah, you could start out with Satyr, and take off the horns, then take SURGE and take the unusual hair, cat's eyes, and that's a decent start.

This is a cool idea. Not sure if you'd actually need a Metavarient to pull it off though. You could easily use the rules for Changelings in Runner's Companion (probably Surge II) or the gene tweaking rules found in Augmentation. Maybe even a bit of both, really, depending on your character's backstory.
