A Time For Secrets - The Team

On this site, I will keep an entry post for each of the Team Members of the "A Time For Secrets" story. Some of them are NPCs, some are characters. This thread is not intended for the players to update themselves.

If any of you would like updates to your character descriptions, please feel free to PM me with your update suggestions. Do not post in this thread.

Ashe

Ashe is a strikingly beautiful Elven woman with dark green eyes and "nut brown" hair. Her eyes, on any human, would be due to colored contacts, or perhaps surgical improvements. On Ashe however, they are completely natural.

From the talk of the rest of the team, it is not hard to glean that Ashe is a Magician. Her spell capacity is fairly deep and varied. She has been seen using Lightning Bolts in offense, and has clearly used a Reaction Enhancement spell to make her actions more valuable to the team. In addition to that, it seems that she was able to "sway" the willingness of the Soldiers to help the team when they had encountered them in the UCAS. Further, she seems to maintain a constant state of health and cleanliness. All of these things (except the lightning bolt) could have to do with non-magical abilities. But since Ashe is a magician, there are clearly spells which can do these things.

Game Stuff
Ashe is a GM Character, not an NPC. She is not available for independent use by the players, as she is often directly involved in the team/plot. You may interact with her as though she is a Player Character.

Little Tiamet, or LT

LT is a well groomed Troll, of slightly smaller than normal Troll stature. His sense of style, at the moment, seems to be quite well evolved for the stereotype, and he keeps himself well put together. Of course, it would look far more reasonable if one of his tusks hadn't been broken at some time in his previous life.
LT has a "nervous tick" of licking his tusks, carefully, and slowly. It could be intimidating, except that everyone in the group seems to interact with him more like a teddy-bear than a Troll. He is a very capable member of the team, both as an asset, and as a reliable team member. Ashe and Kesslan have the kind of affinity for LT that can only be the result of surviving a shooting battle, or two, with him

Kesslan

Kesslan is a normal sized human, most of the time. He is well built, in an athletic sort of way. His arms show the muscles that can only be the result of long, hard physical training. Though they are not the bulging, oversized version that is commonly found on people who believe that bulk is tantamount to fitness. Kesslan's body has been honed and toned by heavy training and hard work, and reflect the freedom of movement, combined with strength, that someone who has undergone extensive functional training would have. Like a Marine, or a Special Forces soldier. Or perhaps, a Shadowrunner.

Kesslan has been with the team since the beginning. He was involved in the planning stages of the run, when the team first set out. Kesslan is intimately familiar with the entire team, and each member, and has a wealth of knowledge regarding the abilities of each person who has come aboard.
Kesslan is also the current de-facto "Team Lead" as he is the only one with any reasonable combination of Tactical Planning experience, as well as leadership and "interaction" experience.

Caper

Vincent Caperelli (Caper) is a Dwarf Combat Magician. Caper is reasonably good looking, and quite easy to get along with. He is often found hanging around the "Gear" boxes on the island, and is intimately involved in the planning and setup of the Headquarters. The team considers it likely that Caper will be a fixture on the outings when the business gets up and running.

Caper is a spellcaster, and cannot summon. He has Spellcasting 5, and Magic 5.

Sureal

Sureal is a human technomancer. She tends to follow the "Goth" look, which has persisted despite the best intentions of society throughout the 2060's and in to the 2070's. Her hair is black, as are her eyes. It is hard to tell, as she rarely lets the light shine directly on them, whether they are natural dark brown eyes, or if they are surgically updated.
Sureal tends to be quiet, and keep to herself. She is often found in one of the tents, in a somewhat "meditative" pose, off in the matrix somewhere. She is particularly useful to the team in both that she is a technomancer, and that she is a native Japanese speaker.

Jack

Jack is a human magician. Jack has been with the group since the beginning. Jack is quiet, and seems to shy from attention. He can often be found wandering about the island, near home base, in the woods. He seems to be more fond of Nature than of metahumanity. Despite that, Jack always keeps his Commlink on and handy, and makes sure that it always has an open line to the Team Channel, so that he can be found when necessary.
Jack speaks Japanese and Spanish; he does NOT speak English, though he uses a very high ranked translator programme.

Jack acts mostly as a healer when faced with combat situations, though he has shown himself to be extraordinarilly helpful with his summoning skills. He is even able, and willing, to summon spirits to send with the team on missions, upon request.

Viking

Viking is a male Elven Magician, specializing in "Mental" investigations. Viking is a new addition to the team, hired only after the team had reached Japan. Fortunately for the team, Viking was a good find, and had been here in Japan for a previous assignment, electing to take another assignment here, rather than returning to Seattle.

Eleanor

Eleanor is an AI Pilot. She has been with the team since the beginning, and has proven herself to be an astonishingly adept pilot, doing things with their vehicles that are hard to imagine possible otherwise. Eleanor was responsible for piloting the sub-sonic Jet from UCAS to Japan, somehow managing to avoid being shot out of the sky by the three Attack Jets that were sent after the team when they stole the Jet, and all of it's cargo, from the UCAS army base.
Since then, Eleanor has shown her worth in nearly every facet of the team, from helping to set up the home node of the new team base, including the public website, to assisting with the recruiting efforts, and even some of the recon here on the island of Japan.

Driver

Driver is a male Orc. Driver is fairly good looking (quite good looking for an Orc) and highly intelligent member of the team, who has been with us since the beginning.
Driver specializes in Mechanics, of all types. He is a highly skilled, and highly interested, mechanic, who can often be found tinkering with the various mechanical devices around the island. Eleanor and Driver seem to have a very close personal connection, as often wherever Driver can be found, there is a constant conversation between him and Eleanor. And whenever this conversation is overheard, it is quite intimate.

Father

Father, as the name suggests, is a highly spiritual "religious figure". He carries his book with him wherever he goes. On the team, Father is a technomancer, and will be involved in future missions. Father is a human, who always wears simple priestly robes, with a hood, up.

Sieg

Sieg is a male human Adept. He specializes in stealth and combat, though mostly stealth. Sieg can often be found lurking in the woods about the island, practicing his stealth and tracking, as well as combat training on occasion.

Specter

The 21 years old albino elf girl is about 1.75 meter tall and weights maybe 68kg. Skin and hair are white as could be expected. Her eyes are also completely white, although her vision is not impaired. She wears her hair in a short bob.
Slim and athletic, her movements are elegant and appealing. Depending on the situation she wears either black to accent her skin or white to appear even more Specterlike.
The clothing often bares her mid rim or some cleavage and is in general fitted tightly onto her small but firm curves. Her fashion also often contains hoods for strolls on a sunny day. She gets sunburns very easily. On a run, she sometimes wears camouflage patterned suits and face masks. In matters of gear she choses quality over quantity. The most important tool is always present anyway, her magic.
All of her eyeware is equipped with flare compensation because bright lights are painful for her. She always carries either a pair of stylish glasses or some tight fitting goggles. To enhance her visual range, she takes optical binoculars or a mage sight.
Her H&K Urban Fighter is tucked away in a concealable shoulder holster. She owns a fake licence for the weapon.
In pockets within her coat, she carries the ammunition stripes for it.

Greifer

Peter Greifer (Greifer) is a human male Gunner. Greifer has strong skill with driving, automotive repair, and Automatics, specifically, out the window of a moving vehicle. Greifer can often be found hanging around with Driver, when Driver is working on land-bound vehicles. The rest of the time, Greifer is likely driving about the island, working on vehicles himself, or at the firing range, emptying clips of automatic weapons in to the Tree Trunks used as target practice.

Sam

Sam is a human male. Sam specializes in ground vehicles and mechanics. He is a very capable driver, and trained for field repair for any vehicle issues that may arise. Sam is also a Gunnery specialist, highly skilled at operating mounted weapons.
Sam can often be found with Greifer, and Driver when they are all together. Greifer and Sam have struck up a strong relationship, and frequently spend time "tinkering" with their vehicles together, often feeding each other ideas. It is not uncommon to see them both working on the same vehicle at a time, before moving on to another vehicle to make the same updates. After, of course, trying it out. Greifer, Sam and Driver all share the same passion for ground based vehicles. Sam has some skill with aircraft and boats as well, and can keep up with Driver as Driver makes updates and optimizations on aircraft, flying drones, and water based vehicles.

Alexia

Alexia is a Female Fox Shapeshifter.

Alexia considers herself to be a "Security" specialist. As a fox, her specialty is unsurprising. She has experience building, and defeating, nearly every kind of security out there. As a "Generalist" alexia is extremely knowledgeable, and can lend her experience to nearly any facet of a Security project. As a "Specialist," as yet, Alexia has not chosen one of the security disciplines to focus her energies on; though she certainly could have, if that were her goal.
Alexia, in human form, appears to be a late-teen. She carries her appearance through with her behaviour, always allowing her to be percieved in her relative age bracket as well. Despite appearances, she has been alive for a very long time, though no one should ever ask a woman for her age...

In addition to Security work, Alexia is proficient with Heavy Weaponry, as well as the Hardware and Software appropriate to her skillset: Hardware and Electronics.

Bright Light

Brandon Bright...BB to his friends outside the shadows... Bright Light for his teamates and work relations. Brandon always had a knack for two things...robots and beating other kids that screwed with him too much. Growing up he went to the Ares College of Technical Innovations or ACTI. He was one of the most gifted students at the school...that got him noticed by Ares and offered him a job while he was still at his studies. He went along with it for a few years but sitting behind a desk wasn't for him. Fearing that they might loose such a good asset Ares made a deal with him when he hit 21 and completed his studies. They hooked him up with a "trusted" group of shadowrunners that worked regurlaly for the corporation. This was Brandon's true calling: cracking heads and playing with the latest tech and getting paid to do it. He ran with the crew for a good 7 years. Then... a big score came and the group thought it would be easy money... but they were wrong.
