A Time For Secrets OOC

@Darkon: Using normal Perception rules: You may make a perception test, at any time, as a Move action. If you wish to "Actively Look" for something (gaining the +3), that requires a simple action, and will disallow a shot (As for the purposes of the game, I have called a "shot" a complex action).

By the way, I thought my character would duck behind his cover if he sees someone is coming to his direction and not use his flashlight? Or wasn't 3 hits not enough to see if Sieg really running to his position?

You sure you see Sieg? there where 3 moving targets, maybe even more in the last 2 CT's

No, I'm not sure. The question was: Are 3 hits enough to see that someone comes to Greifers possition, which would implify a duck action. Who is coming is irrelevant.

@Sly: You have two perception rolls. The first is passive, which is a free action. The second is active, which requires a Simple action. Attacks in this game require a Complex action, so if you use a Simple action for Active Looking, you can't attack. Let me know what you want to do.
Sieg probably knows that he will be just about arriving within shooting range at the end of his turn. An active search would likely produce a target, but then you can't shoot. So, you can either attempt to get lucky with a regular perception roll, and shoot at the target, or you can try to pull up a bit short, do an active search, and shoot next round.

@Larz: 3 hits were not only enough to see that someone is coming, but enough to see that they were coming with intent. Greifer knows he won't really be able to hide from Sieg at this point, but he also knows that he has some time for "planning". It's not necessary to duck for cover yet.

This is why you should leave a note in Invisible castle on any rolls, just much easier that way.
