Running it Old School (OOC)

Well i love the siten the game, and I'm cool with a lot of Runners here sooooo guess im saying ill be back.

Yeah, I'm on board with this! This is shaping up to be a pretty cool run, and I don't mind holding my beans for a while waiting for you to get back. But don't think I won't stray a bit in your absense!

PC is down ill try to get to the library too post most likely not till after easter sorry trying to fix the problem but it looks hopeless. Sorry again ill do my best to keep up.

Anyway just as a heads up reason I'm not posting so much here is because I'm in the back of the van at the moment without much ability to do anything at all until we work out a plan of what to do next now that we hit this little snag of ours.

Other than working out the "snag", I think it is time for us to get back on track with the original plan. We now have some idea of what the most important information for us to gather is, but we still need to hit the streets like a beat cop and look around, right?

Well how much information do we actually expect to get about the place before hitting it at this point in the game?

Unless we have some one who can both get a connection to the internal building network and then hack it we are rather limited in what kind of intel we can gather without just going in. That said I'm thinking at this point we should focus on an entirely stealth based insertion and go from there. I can certainly keep any physical security pinned down more or less, but I'm going to be hosed against anything magical.

I am not sure I agree, yet. We can get quite a bit of information after we do at least 3 separate things. First, basic on-the-feet observation of the "stuff" going on around the neighborhood. Second, we need to get Zee's spy drone inside, which will accomplish an internal physical search. Third, we need access to their internal wired security network, which may be just the thing to catch a Blood Mage in the act. All of those are possible, and will capture information, if we can pull them off, and if we don't get overtly caught in the act of trying.

That being said, I think Stealth is going to be a key component of our insertion and exit. However, gaining more information, and some of it potentially extremely sensitive, and important, will help us prepare our eventual game plan.

The roto-drone really isn't a spy drone. It has the chameleon coating, but it's still a medium drone, it will be way too noticeable to have it fly around inside the building. They do make spy drones, but we'll have to go buy one, because the roto-drone won't be able to fill that role.

Yeah, Durana is right. A medium drone is actually quite large.

Yeah, we already discussed this, right? The Fly-Spy costs 1k, or thereabouts, and it should be perfect for working within the building. Also, getting in touch with the "wired" security network shouldn't be too hard if we can get access to the buildings next door, behind, or access to the sewers beneath. The wires have to run somewhere, and once we find a wire, Zee should be able to trace the network backwards to the backbone and can use a drone to tap it.

Right, but we don't currently have one. Gotta buy one.

DD do we need to do an availability roll or can we visit a Radio Shack?

Any word on this? I haven't seen DD around in a while; wondering if anyone else knows what's up with him?

He may have a net issue still. he did say he'd be out of touch for a while.

Ok, I don't mind leaving him in the lurch for the time being... he did paint himself out, so to speak. We can easilly pull him back in when he is ready.

Ok, I am finally finished in my class and now working on getting home. I will be home later this week, so I will be able to post again.
