Running it Old School

"Well we still need a case somthing that can take a licken and then some." Mamba looked to sentinal "How long do you need for the case?" he asked. He rememberd the elf saying he could hook that up. that would at least give the team time to put together something nasty from scratch. he was thinking i.e.d.'s, gas grenades with narco ject ect. ect....

"Hmmm..." Zee sighed, slipping her goggles up and blinking. The site wasn't proving very helpful for further research on the subject. "I mean, I know my drone is pretty stealthy and all, but it's like... way too big to go inside the building as a spybot. There are way better drones to use for that sort of thing." The drone might still be good for searching out cameras or other forms of physical surveillance though, so Zee lifted it up onto her lap. "I can't find the cameras and stuff because the building only has a wired network... I mean who still does that? But yeah, we'd have to send in a tiny drone if we- you know what? Why not just go get a tiny drone to let us hook into the network? If we managed that, I could totally use their own security system against them and we could, like, maybe catch that blood mage in the act?"

From inside Zee's jacket a stir of movement preceded a muffled outburst. "Ooh, ooh! Zee, whatif I-" Zee's only acknowledgement of the interruption was a gentle swat and a whispered, "Hush."

"Looks like we'er gonna need one of those spy drones in order for you to hack in then, and we need you in there so how much for the drone and how long for delivary assuming we can afford one." he looks around "Are we all on board for the drone idea? These are things we should consider. But its gotta be everyones call."He was not sure they had much time to go unnoticed in the area. So he was getting a little antsy. "We come back more prepared we got a better chance i say."

For his own part, Sentinel stayed in the van as he got his equipment ready while those that had gone in his car apparently did some reconnaissance. He simply hoped they wouldn't get his car trashed in the process. This job wasn't really paying enough to replace even something that cheap alas. Though he did send out a quick comlink message to the others 'So what's the scan?' given that he'd not heard from them for a little while.

"Um, no more than one grand for the drone, and it shouldn't be too hard to find one, I mean... they're not illegal or anything," she shrugs at Mamba, noticing the blip in her AR view. "Oh, so, we should like, probably update Bear and Sentinel and, um... no, just those two. 'Cause they don't know what we've found out, right?"

"Hmph, right... sure," Zee mumbled as she began composing a note to the other team, "...like your 'link doesn't work just as good as mine..."

She quickly concluded the note and transmitted it to Sentinel and Bear. 'Hey guys, we've found some weird magical shenanigans at the building, possibly blood magic, not sure. We're thinking we need to take some further precautions before moving in, possibly getting a spy drone so we can tap the network from outside the building. Shall we meet up to further discuss our plans for the near future?'

Sentinel felt his blood run cold when he read the message. "Oh frag me. Blood magic? dreck." well there went the apparently totally false concept that this would be an easy job. Mundanes always got the short end of the stick when it came to dealing with awakened security. He fired back a message shortly after receiving the response. 'It would be a good idea. That said if I see some wage mage wiggling his fingers I'm gonna geek his hoop. I suggest you do the same unless you want to get fried. Awakened security is bad news. Very bad news.'

"Awakened security is a definite; the blood magic is a possible... I saw some super funky stuff in the building, and it almost looks like it has it's own aura. But I aint too good with Aura Reading an' drek like that, so I can't be too sure." Jack added in to the loop in response to Sentinel's message.

"Well... we shudd try an' see if we can't catch the dumb fragger on a vid feed! We shudd also git a good feel fer the neighborhood, like we was plannin on doin alreddy. Somehow we gotta get some spy drone for Zee inside therr, an' map out the inside of the building, an' try an' catch the fraggin' blood mages in the act!" Jack says, nodding in agreement with herself... odd, right?

Jack peers closely at the old man, wondering what kind of involvement he might have. Without speaking with him, of course, it would be impossible, but there may be subtle clues as to who or what he was to operations being run here on his person. Jack peers closely, trying to get a feel for who and what he is.

Mamba started the video record on his com directed at the man and saved some video of him entering the building.

For his own part, Sentinel just continues to wait in the back of the van for further updates. He could potentially get out to poke around but figures it's likely safer, and less likely to draw attention if he just waits. Even with chameleon coating there's no guarantee he wont draw unwanted attention given his present loadout.

Bear clenches his hands on the wheel. He accessed his Commlink and sent a message to all his team members. What going on? Is there a problem, or should we start the run now. Getting impatient, felt like I've been here waiting for months. He started drumming his fingers on wheel. The speed and twitches of his fingers evidently mean his wired reflexes were on, and every thing is going much too slow for him.

"Hmmph... Heezuh reg'lar." Jack mumbles, somewhat to herself, but without any regard to whether or not everyone else shared her thoughts.
At Bear's comments, Jack is ready to respond. One way or another... "Well, we wuz thinkin' about a cuppla different ways to make this thing work out fer us. One of 'em is ta call in the Draco Foundation, an' hope that they do all thuh hevvy liftin' fer us. We also thought 'bout 'cuppla different ideers, but dint decide on one. So, wuts the plan?"

Hope you in place, I'm gunning it now. He reved the engine and shot out of the parking space as quickly as his van could go. Coming to a screeching halt in front of the building, he looked around back. Ya ready?

Jeck's eyes snap open in surprise, before radiating out an equivalent amount of consternation. Being uncoordinated was always a bad idea, especially when the "Back-up" needed to be in place at a hard-to-get-to location before hand. This will put a very tight time constraint on arriving on time...
Jack swings her gaze back across the occupants of her car, the one sitting accross the street watching. She attempts to do the best she can to guess the total weight of the occupants of the car.

Under pressure, Jack wasn't sure she was able to estimate correctly. She resorted to the old-fashioned method. Asking.
"Ok, how much do you two weigh?" Her deep gravelled voice was calm, almost a cold brook gurgling over river stones in the fall. Despite the calm of her voice, she was wrestling with the inner turmoil of dealing with the lack of coordination, and the surprise of the initiative from her current team mate. She would consider carefully whether or not to work with this one again... Of course, success seemed to be it's own confirmation of correct choice of action. She would reserve her judgement for the determining moment of this run.

Sentinel for his part was caught a touch off guard as the van he was in the back of suddenly started racing off without warning. With some degree of annoyance he kept to himself he turned his chameleon coating on and readied his machinegun.. though beyond that he mostly just did his best to hold on and not get thrown around in the back.

This was bad the troll screwed them in tight on this one. He could have sworn there was more to it then this. But what was done was done. He was still pretty sure they could make this work. "Oooo...K... About 175 lbs. plus 35 40 lbs in gear." he said in response to jacks question. Mamba was not a big man per say but he was strong enough to carry his own gear.

He put on his helmet "Game on people how we getting across?" he asked. Then he considered Jacks words to last question he answered and bit his lip....and ready his pain inducer!
