Well, since Kap got a 3 on his Infiltration, you would have to be able to find him. And you can't do that without using your light to actively hunt him, and since the exercise hasn't started yet, you can't hunt him yet. So, that was a long-winded version of "no". That's not a suitable position.
I am working on the assumption that you all managed to end up equally spaced about the play area. You will be starting roughly a little more than 100 meters from your two nearest teammates (turned "opponent" in this exercise).

[EDIT] And at a dead sprint, without improved reflexes, you all can cross just about half that distance in one turn. So, it will take you approximately 1 turn to get close enough to even start looking for someone.
That said: I used "Scatter" rules to determine your actual locations, so you could be anywhere from 25 meters to 150 meters from your nearest competitor. And since you're all trying to be sneaky when you find your starting locations, you have no way to determine that until you start looking.

Just how dense is the forest here? Since from what i gathered were in the wilderness right?

as far as I know we roll infiltration once right and the value is stuck for the whole game

Tree branches?..im gussing you mean the light reflecting on the tree?...in my head i got very tall tree so unless your looking directly up ..i was kinda imagining thos really huge forest not some kind of park tree

@Sly: Good question. The woods are not terribly dense here. There are hardwoods at distances of 3-10 meters apart. There are not many softwoods, and the underbrush is not very thick. Thus the hardwoods tend to be fairly full trees, and it is difficult to get at their trunks.

@Kouryuu: Yes, but you can take a Move Action to re-roll your stealth if you like.

If its to hard to climb em change my climb test in a wall running test...its the same amount of dice....how big are those tree exactly?

@Sly:
Those are good rolls. It's a shame that they won't be able to be counted. Keeping the flashlight upright requires slightly more concentration than a Jacket Pocket is capable of producing. Further, while you're climbing a hardwood, keeping it upright and not hitting a tree-branch would be virtually impossible. Your character would know that, so I will allow you to alter your post if you need to. With that in mind, you may decide that the trunk of a tree is sufficient cover that your prodigious gymnastics skills could use it to "block" (otherwise known as dodge-behind) a "shot" from one of the other competitors.

If you should choose to climb the tree, you'll have to take a -2 penalty to hold on to the Flashlight. If, instead, you wish to put it in your pocket, you will be treating it as a holstered weapon if someone gets a chance to engage you. Also, you'll be operating under the "Actively Searching" rules for purposes of other people searching for you.

That said, once you reach the (approximate) top of the tree, I will give you a +2 Perception bonus for searching for other people. The flashlight is a lot easier to see if you've got an angle on the light. Or a +1 Perception bonus from half way.

ill holster my flash light and wall run up there then jump and tries to trya tree branch..is that possible?

@Darkon: Remember that "Actively Looking" adds a +3 to dice pool, but requires a Simple Action, which means that you wouldn't be able to "Fire" that turn. Also, you can "Hold Your Action" if you wish to, allowing others to go before you (only one person in this initiative group) and then attempt to search for people against whom you have the +4 bonus.

@Sly: Yes, you can do that. But you'll take a -2 Penalty to your Wall Running test for not being able to see your "wall" clearly. It's tough to get good traction on a tree-trunk in darkness without lighting to aid you.
Instead, you may attempt to mitigate that with a "Quickdraw" test to holster your flashlight part of the way through the Wall-Running attempt. That's Pistols+Agility against a threshhold of 3. In this case: Success means that you negated the -2 penalty, and holstered the flashlight. Failure will apply the penalty, since you "fumble" the flashlight in your attempt to holster it. A Glitch will drop the flashlight.

[EDIT]@Sly: However, if Watashi notices you (likely) he will likely disqualify you, since that is an Adept Power, not a skill, and therefor violates the rules of the game.
